Unchanged

Acts 20:18–24 KJV 1900
18 And when they were come to him, he said unto them, Ye know, from the first day that I came into Asia, after what manner I have been with you at all seasons, 19 Serving the Lord with all humility of mind, and with many tears, and temptations, which befell me by the lying in wait of the Jews: 20 And how I kept back nothing that was profitable unto you, but have shewed you, and have taught you publickly, and from house to house, 21 Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ. 22 And now, behold, I go bound in the spirit unto Jerusalem, not knowing the things that shall befall me there: 23 Save that the Holy Ghost witnesseth in every city, saying that bonds and afflictions abide me. 24 But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.
All of these things can be known.
Acts 20:18 KJV 1900

++He had a Past
++He had a History
++He was an Enemy of God
We are no different
Ephesians 2:1–3 KJV 1900
1 And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; 2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: 3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

He quickened _Made alive_ that which was dead

Without life
++Just go along
++Circumstances are in control
++The flesh becomes the governor
Ephesians 2:4–5 KJV 1900
4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, 5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
But God
++Is rich in mercy
++Demonstrates His Great Love
++Gives life by Grace

Grace is God’s empowerment.

By Grace
++We are Saved
++We have purpose
++We are connected to God’s plan
Galatians 1:15–16 KJV 1900
15 But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother’s womb, and called me by his grace, 16 To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood:
No matter your past, failures, success, activity, or work there is a day for God’s dream for you to be revealed.
When it pleased God
++He confirmed His calling
++He called me by his grace
Psalm 103:10 KJV 1900
10 He hath not dealt with us after our sins; Nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.
When it pleased God
He confirmed His calling
He called me by his grace
++He counted not my sin
2 Corinthians 5:19 KJV 1900
19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
1 Timothy 1:12 KJV 1900
12 And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry;
1 Timothy 1:13 KJV 1900
13 Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.
When God sees something
++He is not easily sidetracked
++He does not complain about the present
++He gives life to what he sees
Genesis 1:3 KJV 1900
3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
God did not
++Speak to the darkness
++Speak to what was visible
++He spoke to what was not yet
Romans 4:17 KJV 1900
17 (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.
Aren’t you glad about it
Psalm 103:11 KJV 1900
11 For as the heaven is high above the earth, So great is his mercy toward them that fear him.

What was his grace and favor toward me was an expression of his great mercy.

++In Humility
++In Tears
++Through Temptations
Romans 8:18 KJV 1900

++ I Demonstrated the word
1 Corinthians 2:4–5 KJV 1900
4 And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: 5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.
I was not ashamed
++Publicly
++Privately
Romans 1:16 KJV 1900
16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

Job 2:10 KJV 1900
10 But he said unto her, Thou speakest as one of the foolish women speaketh. What? shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil? In all this did not Job sin with his lips.
