Matt 17:5 While he was still speaking, a bright cloud enveloped them, and a voice from the cloud said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased. Listen to him! Matthew (VP) Mientras Pedro estaba hablando, una nube luminosa se posó sobre ellos, y de la nube salió una voz, que dijo: “Este es mi Hijo amado, a quien he elegido: escúchenlo.

Luke 9:35 A voice came from the cloud, saying, “This is my Son, whom I have chosen; listen to him.”

Rom 10:16-19 But not all the Israelites accepted [hupakouo, to obey] the good news. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed [pisteuo] our message?” 17 Consequently, faith comes from hearing [akoe] the message, and the message is heard [akoe] through the word of Christ. 18 But I ask: Did they not hear [akouo]? Of course they did: “Their voice has gone out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world.” 19 Again I ask: Did Israel not understand [ginosko]? First, Moses says, “I will make you envious by those who are not a nation; I will make you angry by a nation that has no understanding.[ asunetos]

Dt. 18:15-19. In contrast with the dark magic of Canaanite diviners, witches, and spiritists, Israelites were to listen to the Lord’s prophet. The Israelites could be sure that a ”line of prophets“ would follow in succession after Moses because of their original request at Horeb (Sinai) that God speak to them through Moses as a mediator (cf. 5:23-27). Each prophet God would raise up would be an Israelite, and because the true prophet would only speak the words of the Lord, the people were obligated to obey (listen to) those words. The ultimate Prophet like Moses (18:15, 18) is Jesus Christ—the One who spoke God’s words and who provides deliverance for His people. Not even Joshua could be compared to Moses, for since Moses ”no prophet has risen in Israel like“ him (34:10) with such power before men and intimacy with God. However distinguished a future prophet’s role might be in Israel, none would be like Moses until the Mediator of the New Covenant, Jesus Christ, came. Moses set the standard for every future prophet. Each prophet was to do his best to live up to the example of Moses until the One came who would introduce the New Covenant. During the first century a.d. the official leaders of Judaism were still looking for the fulfillment of Moses’ prediction (cf. John 1:21). Peter said their search should have stopped with the Lord Jesus (Acts 3:22-23). (Other early and clear predictions of the Messiah may be found in Gen. 49:10-12; Num. 24:17-19.)

JM - 18:15–19 a Prophet like me. The singular pronoun emphasizes the ultimate Prophet who was to come. Both the OT (34:10) and the NT (Acts 3:22, 23; 7:37) interpret this passage as a reference to the coming Messiah, who like Moses would receive and preach divine revelation and lead His people (cf. John 1:21, 25, 43–45; 6:14; 7:40). In fact, Jesus was like Moses in several other ways: 1) He was spared death as a baby (Ex. 2; Matt. 2:13–23); 2) He renounced a royal court (Phil. 2:5–8; Heb. 11:24–27); 3) He had compassion on His people (Num. 27:17; Matt. 9:36); 4) He made intercession for the people (Deut. 9:18; Heb. 7:25); 5) He spoke with God face to face (Ex. 34:29, 30; 2 Cor. 3:7); and 6) He was the mediator of a covenant (Deut. 29:1; Heb. 8:6, 7)

Isaiah 50:5 The Sovereign Lord has opened my ears, and I have not been rebellious; I have not drawn back. (RVR) Jehová el Señor me abrió el oído, y yo no fui rebelde, ni me volví atrás
