I know it sounds contradictory and ironic, the title being 'indescribable'. However, Chaplain Kandanada is not describing Joy, but discussing it's results. And we're not talking about the joy you get at revieving gifts or seing a loved one, but the Joy we get when we recieve God's gift of His Son. The fact that He would do such a thing is indescribable. Also, the Joy available to you and I because of it is equally unexplainable.
