What a man, what a day already good grief. I'm like brother Mike. I do like it that we have many different languages spoke here in the church and a lot of talent God blessed us with and listen. We're going to be continuing on this series on season of Miracles are for miracles and this morning. I'm going to be on a topic that I don't know that I've ever really covered and so I've been working hard at this to make sure it makes sense and it takes us one place to the next speaking about the miracle of time. And that our lives are is an open book. And anyway, let's just go ahead and we're going to delve off into this. I've got several years to cover. But anyway, I wanted I thought about some turns hear that. We probably heard from time to time and says don't waste my time if time permits time is valuable time got away from you. My time is important if I have the time keep up with your time. I wish I had made time for that or my life is like an open book. I thought about this concept of time, you know, you can't really you can't really stop it. You can't wrap it in anything. It just continues on no matter what's occurring or what's going on. It just continues on and then I thought about this fascination of this this thing of time that we are caught in this Vortex sort of speak and I thought about all the things that have been written and talked about about time. I thought about some songs and there's one song that came to my mind from my childhood and was called time in a bottle that some of you older folks were member that Boomers wooden space you remember that if you're a millennial you probably have never heard of it. But it says if I could save time in a bottle the first thing I'd like to do it just save everyday. Tell her to Eternity passes away just to spend them with you. If I could make days last forever if words could make wishes come true, I'd say it everyday like a treasure and then again, I would spend them with you. But there never seems to be enough time to do the things we want to do once you find them. I've looked around enough to know that you're the one I'd like to I want to go through time with so we see over and over this fascination with time in the the the fleetingness of it Solomon declared that the Lord God allows for order. But he is delegated much of that to meuman human time for everything. There is a pointed time. And an appropriate time for every activity on her flipped over to please you acted with me this morning. We're going to be moving from there and they're going to take the truck out through some other scripture. But let's look at this thing is Solomon speaks about this theme park timing. I don't want you to think is we're looking at this thing called time. I want you to be thinking about your life as a book. The deal is about this book. You are the author of your own book. Now some people's lives at the end of their they're Trek or their run would be like the old Little Golden Books just a few pages and that's the end of the story. Some people's wives to be like a major novel. thousands of thousands of words many things transpiring do some people have a book that's got sparse pictures and sparser accounts scattered. The many empty pages many chapters unfinished. Because time didn't permit. Or we wasted our time. Because each of us are allotted a specific time. Now, I don't know what your time. Looks like. I don't know what mine is but I do know that each of us have an expiration date at some point in time Bible doesn't clear that it is appointed unto man once to die that means to leave this or this open sarcophagus thing here that we live in to release our actual Spirit to release our soul into eternity. But it's what we're doing now. Anyway, let's just get into the house. Come on. Let's let's look over here, please. Yes, you chapter 3 and verse 1 to everything. There is a season a time for every purpose under Heaven time to be born and a time to die time to plant a time to plug what is planted time to kill time to heal a time to break down and a time to build up a time to weep and a time to laugh a time to mourn and a time to dance then time to Cast Away stones and a time to gather Stones a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing a time to gain at a time to lose in a time to keep and a time to throw away. A time to tear and a time to sow a time to keep silence and a time to speak a time to love and a time to hate a time of war and a time of Peace time time time time time.

over and over and over please the answers chapter 3 verse 12 just scroll or turn down to there and camp out there with me at first 12 for just a second. He says I know that nothing is better for them than to rejoice. And it do good in their lives and I also and also that every man should eat and drink and enjoy the good of all his labor. It is a gift of God.

We wear wrist watches you ever noticed. I went through the house the other night cuz I've never really paid any attention to it and my wife will tell you I don't pay attention the whole lot of stuff, but that's not true. This time I went through the house and I thought cuz I'm looking at my watch and I'm thinking well, okay, but I'm always looking at my watch. And when I'm in my truck, I'm looking at my Dash because the time is there. I walk through the kitchen. There's three clocks in our kitchen. The microwave tells me what time it is the ovens tell me what time it is in the end if that's not enough. She's got a little clock on the countertop to tell me what time it is and none of them more accurate.

And then if that's not good enough, there's a grandfather clock in the living room and it'll tell me what time it is cuz it dings and dongs and Carries On. I can go down into my bedroom. There are cuckoo clocks in the bedroom. And then her phone on the nightstand that wakes us up every morning. And then I looked at my telephone and yet again on my telephone is the time. We are faced with it everywhere we go. And then when I get to 34 and 1570 Alliance Bank is going to tell me what the time and temperature is. every day without fail

time time and time the TV I'll tell you what time it is it turn our TV on it goes with the channel. Then it tells me that I'm blah blah blah.

walks everywhere bones cars everything telling you what time it is. Have you ever wondered or maybe thought perhaps maybe time might be important. Maybe perhaps the Lord has used this calendar and days of the week. And clocks and Son dolls and everything else to tell us, you know, the Bible never waste time about menial things. It only uses its time on spectacular things and time is a miracle of God. Now what you do with it is on you. Amen. He's never Force anything on anybody. In fact, we talked last week about this relationship he had and going out in the Deep remember and then he cashed out the Nets and come back to the Shoreline and he says I want you to come and follow me. I'm going to make you Fishers of Men. It didn't say how you get rid of stupid Nets and you get on up here right now. We're headed this way. He says I want you to come. You're not coming. I want you to come and follow me. So what we do with time and how we're on our book. Is all on us. And always has been.

Jeremiah chapter 1 I apologize. But in order for us to make these points concise and contextual we're going to have to move throughout some scripture in the Old and New Testaments. Jeremiah chapter 1 scroll down 2 verse 5. I want you to notice something here is the first thing the miracle of time. You were born. You were born and so the first chapter of your life begins.

And at the designated time and place you entered this world to begin your journey Jeremiah chapter 1 verse 5 before I formed you in the womb down the pay attention closely to this bourbon. She says before I before I formed you in the one I already knew you. Before you were born I Sanctified you Audrey ordained you a prophet to the nations. Are you speaking of Jeremiah? However, that first part of that verse fits all of us he knew you before you were ever. Ever knit together in your mother's womb Psalm 139 verse 13 look back over here. I want you to pay close attention. If you don't listen to the words in the writing of these books, they're poetic and unto themselves Psalm chapter 139 and verse 13 turn over there scroll down there for you formed my inward parts. You covered me in my mother's womb. I will praise you for I am fearfully and wonderfully made not just fearfully made but wonderfully made you were fearfully and wonderfully made. You see when the Lord thought of you and EM thought you and the existence. He said, you know what they have the potential to make a number one best-selling book of their life.

And if they'll include me in each chapter, this will be the best seller. It'll never go out of print.

The only problem with these books already is we have a lot of empty pages in a chapter. We didn't finish them. because when you exclude the the Creator Well you you have a lot of empty pages. And then some of our books because we've excluded the Creator or not books that want to be read over and over there books of tragedy. Mishap chapter after chapter of just tears some of the pages have no writing just tear stains on them. But it does indicate to the reader what transpired here a man. Some of the pages are covered in her own blood because of what we've done in our lives are we haven't done but it does indicate to the reader. What transpired here.

So we see that we were fearfully wonderfully made marvelous are your works and that my soul knows very well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made when I was made in secret and skilfully raw in the lowest parts of the Earth for your eyes saw my substance being not unforget informed and in your book, they are all written the days fashion for me. When is yet there were none of them. How precious also are your thoughts to me? Oh God, how great is the sum of your of them if I should count them? They would be more number than the end. and when I awake I'm still with you.

God and fearfully and wonderfully designed the human body and has built within the biological mechanism. remarkably recuperative abilities You ever notice that? I'm very well. I'm very well for an informed about injuries Cuts brakes not whatever I've had so many of them. It is ridiculous. Now, I'm even talked about his I've been grown. I know all about how the body can heal itself. If you just leave it alone, it'll heal itself. I'm not just talking about the outward. I'm talking about the n word.

You see most want people carry as injuries or actually on the inside. That's mostly what we carry a scrape here in a cut there on the knuckle. That will pass and you'll ignored after a while because it doesn't hurt or sting and it's already closed up and healed. But what's inside? Is the one that take the longest to heal? And some we never let heal. That's the chapter we wrote and we just keep riding. It's like the endless chapter that we just keep our the only problem is though. Each page contains the same thing. We just worded differently.

time this thing this fascination of time and how we're always pursuing it and it appears to be pursuing us.

Best part about time is you can fill it with anything that you want.

Luke chapter 12 and verse 16

then he spoke a parable to them saying the ground of a certain rich man yielded plentifully. Now we're speaking about filling time with whatever you want. Any thought within himself saying what shall I do? Since I have no room to store my crops. So he said I will do this. I will pull down my Barns and build greater and there I will store all my crops and goods and I will say to my soul. So you have many Goods laid up for many years. Take your ease and eat and drink and be merry. My God said to him you fool. This night your soul will be required of you. Then who's Will those things be with you have provided?

So is he who lays up treasure for himself? Is not rich toward God.

Well, he doesn't last to fill them with whatever we want. This brother here just decided to write his book about how good he is. How smart he was. And surveying on his King over you see what he's saying. Look at this brother when he says what will I do since have no room. I will do this. I will pull down my Barns and build greater and there I will store my crops my goods and I will say I will say look at this brother. I will say to my sister. So you have many Goods laid up for many years take your ease and eat and drink and be merry This is the writings of a fool. This is what he's feeling the chapters of his life with about how good he is. And how confident he is. And when you see him saying I'm going to pull these barns down. I'm going to build bigger barns what he's really saying is I am master of all that I survey and when people share these barns are going to say this guy is on top of the world. That's what he's doing. He's bragging he's boasting within himself. And that is the chapters of his life. And that's what he used his time for in the Lord brings a reckoning and sees you fool. Your soul will be required in other words. You're going to die then who is that?

Your chapter will end your book will stop. But yeah, you're the shirt master of all you survey in this millisecond. That's all you got.

I ask myself this question. You can either ask yourself this or no? thus far What have you what have I filled my time with?

You see as I begin riding this message in preparing it because I don't ever remember speaking about time and at 8 just seems so weird. I told my wife I said does it seem weird to you? She does will know I send it seems weird to me to write and speak to people about time. She is what doesn't scripture speak about time quite often. Doesn't it look at the time to people's lives? I say yes. Yes. Yes. You don't have to preach to me. He-Man James chapter 4 verse 13 looking here Well, then continue on this pathway of time and authoring your own books and writing her own chapters coming out. Who you who say today or tomorrow? Today or tomorrow? I will go to such and such a city spending year. They're buying sale and make a profit. Where is you do not know what will happen tomorrow?

What is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time. There's that catch word yet again. a little time and then it simply vanishes away Instead you always say if the Lord Wills we shall go we shall we shall live and do this or that you see how he turned the whole tables? This person's writing this paper and he's riding his chapter. He says I'm going to go do this. I'm going to accomplish that I'm going here going there. I'm going to try to sell this to this. I'm going to make some money.

And then the rider says Idiot, you don't even know if you're going to have tomorrow. You know, what is really saying to you? What did you do with this time. Today? What did you do with this? Now you were too busy playing for tomorrow and the next day and the next day you didn't do anything with this.

You noticed how time can change life in about 2.5 milliseconds.

It's okay. What are you talkin about your past a huge horrible accident on the interstate? Your cars are all but you know how it is. The rubberneckers are all watching to see if they can see something. You ever notice she get on the highway and and you and you're passing my you glanced over you just keep on rolling. But what you see just in that second he has his cars tour the pieces. Maybe a car laying down in the ditch on its own on top of its own it stopping. Smoke coming out of it glass and pieces of debris everywhere and alliances all over the place fire trucks blocking the lanes.

you ever thought about what just occurred not the cars cars are irrelevant. the people in the cars You ever thought about that? I do every time. Because that person's life just changed. In a in a blink of an eye just changed maybe forever. Maybe they entered eternity right there you ever think about that? It is not just that person. It's a people in the other vehicles. Oh and their family that is at home and doesn't know what has transpired in that that blink-of-an-eye you ever think about that? Time is fleeting, isn't it?

and then I think to myself I wonder if that were me. Right then right now.

Oh my God, I wonder if I'd be prepared to stand before him you don't saying. I wonder if I'll be prepared to enter eternity not because of salvation, but because what did I feel my time with and what does my book look like? What would the last chapter read? You City things are all relevant. God's word advises us to use our time wisely. Because he knows that there are many things in life that can distract us. Rock truly matters I wrote these thoughts down. Do not waste your time so that you look back with regret.

You don't know what tomorrow holds.

The question we have to ask ourselves. Is what have we done with the miracle of time?

So we're born the first chapter is being written.

Ephesians chapter 5 and verse is first 16 the journey has begun many chapters are being written.

Ephesians 5:16 says Redeeming the time how funny. I got a funny way to begin a sentence. A funny way to even begin a verse Redeeming the time and then you put your call in there and he says something like because the days are evil. What in the world is Paul telling us here? What is he speaking about Redeeming the time I can understand me. I know what time is the days are evil. Yeah, I know we live in a I don't we live in a fallen World on understand this but what are you saying? He says? Paul tells us to take advantage of opportunities for service.

opportunities for service I want to say this to you church. I'm going to say this to you and I'm going to say it boldly.

If you want to place to serve this church is doing something all the time in your community. Right in your own backyard.

All the time all year round. If you're not serving it's because you choose not to do it. This church is doing something on the inside of this building all the time. And if you're not doing it or participating it's cuz you choose not to do it your writing your chapter a different way. Paul says

Paul says Redeeming the time because the days are evil take advantage of everyday opportunities for service. We have a limited amount of time you never while ago. We said we have an expiration date. You know when you buy food, you know or milk. Everything says best used by blah blah best used by this now. I don't always pay attention to that if it smells and it doesn't seem harmful. I'm going to I'm going for it. My wife gets so upset about that doesn't expire yesterday. I know we're not having in the house. You know how I feel about that. I said, yeah, I do it still good to know how you feel about throwing stuff in the trash girl. What's wrong with you? He man. Thank you sister. Thank you.

We better keep moving. I'm digging a hole.

Polish simply saying use as much time as possible.

Did you say every waking minute but as much time as possible advancing the cause of Christ in this world? Why is it no we know Paul? Yes. He's a man of God blah blah blah, but why in the world is it that we need to invent? What was all this redeeming time mess in the days are evil mass. And what is all this stuff? It's because he's saying let me tell you something, brother. You keep putting off serving. at some point in time your number your expiration dates going to come best used by. December 2018 best used by January 2019 at some point in time the expiration dates going to come up and they'll be no more opportunity for service because eternity is knocking a man. James 4:14, I mean Sir James 9:4. John 9:4, I'm sorry and get ahead of myself John 9:4. He says I must work the works of him who sent me while it is day. The night is coming when no one can work and I want you to notice something. He's not literally talking about day and night he speaking of time. That's what he's talking about. He just uses the metaphor of night and day because you know night turns into day is a clock hands passed around will go today and tonight and not in the morning and so on and so on but it's not talking about talking about time and time management. That's what he's talking about. He says you better take advantage while your expiration date has it been it's not up. Because there's going to come a moment in time with no one will be able to do anything anymore for the cause of the Kingdom. A man eternity is going to come knocking. Is I sit down or no? It's not. No, it's not. It's an eye-opener. Time is an eye opener in MN. What is your book look like? How big is the book? Are there is there anything in the book? Are the page you just kind of sparse stopped and started?

James 4:14

We just read this but we're going to look at it again. We will go to such-and-such City and spend our year. They are buying sale and make profit.

We're going to concentrate on this one ride here 14 raise you do not know what will happen tomorrow for what is your life? It is a Viper. Simply just a vapor. You know, what a paper is what it looks like. Can we make hot chocolate or r r coffee that little white miss that's coming off a debt your life.

You said sure didn't last very long that your life. That is your timeline. It's not even written solidly is it you know, it's the right or they going to use a solid thing that's like a piece of wood or gold or or or a stone. He uses something that is simply I missed. I use a something like a vapor. You know I use this this thing of vapor because he wants to drive home the point that you need to understand that your life is this long? And then it's gone and whatever you're doing with it here is what's going to transpire into eternity that I'm telling you. The only thing you do for Christ or you do for the kingdom is the only thing that would transcend time in eternity. That is yet. So what I'm writing this message? I'm questioning myself over and then I didn't you a question. I was beginning to interrogate my own self.

At the time you were conceived. At the time you were conceived when the Lord said there and here you go. You're going to begin your journey at this allotted moment because I say so

you're being stalked by something other than Satan. And that was time.

Cam tho isn't a predator. It's not a predator that some of us as we get older. We start hating it more. Cuz when you look in the mirror you go who in the world is this Jack? Cuz I don't recognize in your face is literally fall off your stall. A man when I'm sitting here looking there. I'm going in there man. incredible melting, man

That's time. And it's dancing all over you. Actually, it's just dancing with you as a partner because it's not a predatory thing. Is Schuster company you along the way it was created as part of your companionship?

Time is just time. And that's all that there is of it. The Beatles wrote eight days a week. They had another day to the week because there just was enough time and 7 days.

It just passes into history uninterrupted. Or is it interrupted? can time be interrupted I think that it can

can your timeline be interrupted? It certainly is. It's interrupted by you. And what you do with it?

Or is it driving you? X a companion, but is it driving you and still you driving yet? ever think about that you should you know why you should because we're mortal people were mortal creatures. They use the word called temporal and which we get our word temporary.

God says we're temporal people this life is temporal temporary. And it funny how that we think it's going to be forever. You said what do you what do you want now? We think this really is going to be forever.

But I guarantee the people on the other side with tell you something different wouldn't they? The people we read about in these this passage of time and history would tell you something different.

This keep on moving here. As I've grown older I wrote this stock down. This is me thinking out loud as I've grown older. I look back over my life and I think about the times in my life that I thought or said things like I'll sure be glad when when this is over. Don't look at me like you never said that. Show me you probably sit at this morning deal with your kids. Or I'll be glad when I get to retire.

You can tell these are the murmurings of a babbling young idiot.

When I started in law enforcement other-life they gave us his spreadsheet. And mine started in 83-84 and it would transfer knit show the entire timeline of when you get to retire, but the beauty of it is it show you how much money is going to be in your picture? I never seen that many numbers. I don't praise God. I've hit the I've hit the jackpot if I can survive this for 30 years. I'm going to have some when I was in my twenties, I look at that not going to be glad when I retire he shall that word that that number 50 or 55, you know, that's in Forever, you know right in your twenties are not 55. Whatever lets me like Methuselah junk ain't going to God if I ever make that that's forever.

How do you wake up one more? Look at me? Like I'm here face. Get back on the store right harms put sagging my back.

Hey, man.

I'll thank you. I'm glad I'm not thank you sister mama. I'm glad I'm not the only one in this boat. I was kind of feeling lonely out of the ocean here. I thought I'd been cast out the Deep by myself.

There's another thought I wrote down. As I was looking back through the chapters of my book. Some of my chapters looked horrible. Absolutely horrible.

I look back and I think about the times that we're Wasted. on useless arguments disagreements useless Absolutely pointless. Stupid nothing.

And so many of them now. Is years later I could even tell you. What they were even about but I could tell you what the ramifications were. We didn't speak. It called the division in the house with me and my wife. Or maybe a free and I didn't speak to any more. I mean really?

What time I wasted the pursuit of everything in life.

And I did accept. the things of the Kingdom I want to retire I want to get my house paid for I want this. And when I was thinking about this last night and this week, I thought all my time my time spent saying I want to do this I want to do that. I want to go here. I want to go there and then when I read that you can go with this city in that same we're going to do this going to say they're going to do that. That's me. That was me. And here I am now. at 55 and I'm not retiring because I can't

the number to I will probably never retire.

There's not any retirement in his key in his book. I'm not a Levi so I don't have access to do that. So I guess I just kind of leaves me out.

And I looked back and I thought about all the time wasted. on pointless endeavors

Philippians 3:13

He's addressing you here in this riding when he says brother, and he's speaking a man County speaking right to you.

I do not count myself to have apprehended but one thing I do.

Forgetting those things which are behind me. And reaching forward to those things which are ahead.

He speaking of time again.

He's talking about time again. You know what he saying now?

He's saying. That hands already passed. New River sweeper that hand is it comes around? Everything behind it is now relegated to history. You're busy trying to switch the arm back. It doesn't matter you stent you can't reclaim it. It's past in the history. He says I do know this. I'm going to have to forget these things that I happened in the past.

But I forget them and I'm going to keep my eyes moving forward. Actually just riding me I think. You know we talked about regret.

I hate that word. I hate it. I'll tell you why. Because it haunts me all the time and we shouldn't be that way because it's it's not scriptural. But it haunts me all the time. I wish I would have saved when I say my wife's always listen to me. God bless our sometimes I'll be watching and I'll just come out of left field. So, you know what had I done that at 1990. I wonder where we be at today. And you know what? She always says we'll probably not serving the lord.

At what? Well, we probably be serving God. One time I said something so what do you think about a done this in 89 remember when that opportunity came up shoes? Yeah, we probably divorced.

I showcase sister rain cloud. Good grief, you got to rain on the parade woman. She's not just telling you the truth honey. We're where we're at because God wants us there. You want to be happy with that. So I just don't talk to her.

Choose to say the things I want hear. Amen. Clearly there is a span and an era between the beginning and the end.

For lack of a better expression is just simply called time.

See if Henry wrote and characterize time as the divinely created sphere. I'm God's preserving and Redemptive work. And the arena of man's decision on his way. Do any Turtle destiny?

song Naughty and verse 12 song Naughty in verse 12

So teach us.

I wish that are seen this verse when I was younger. So teach us to number our days.

That we may gain a heart of wisdom. Wisdom is the first sign of learning. That you're learning something number our days isn't that a fascinating concept? Isn't that a weird way to begin their number our days? This is more than just having a sense of mortality.

It means valuing the time we had we do have by using it. for Eternal purposes

And you know, what's so funny as I begin to think and last night. I I've got my laptop out again. And I thought okay Reagan. I don't know what time you have left and I don't know what's going to transpire tomorrow or the next day. If if if Sunday happens we're going to go to church and we're going to speak about the Lord and we're going to Hopefully get to see each other and love on each other and encourage one another and we're going to get to speak about this weird message that. I hope the Holy Spirit concocted it.

And then I started thinking about my book not the one I'm currently riding with the one that is the Journey of my life. Cuz I started flipping through the pages. I thought why didn't finish that that chapters not even finished up my gosh. This is empty.

Here's an opportunity of service. I passed that one by. Cuz I'm too busy life that I'm doing is too important. How about you but when I was younger? I took my family to church but that was all I did less got a worm have a Biblical Foundation. Right? We take them to church. So the church can do all of our work. Okay. Well, that's what I did. I took him to church cuz I want to know about God. A man that your church is job is a teach your children and your family about God. It's not yours, right? Well, I didn't think it was mine blessed God. That's what I paid $5 for right? That's your top dollar at work blessed God. So Church you teach my kids about Jesus Christ, and I hope they get shaved and way we go. It was never my responsibility.

I got to that chapter. About 1 this morning.

What was it empty? Does your church going I had my kids and my family a couple hours a week. if I went we will talk about that one. If I went to heaven for a couple hours a week. Erase the time guess who were they with? me I work late nights. So I kept the kids during the daytime when they weren't in school. And they were just with me. And we watched Little Mermaid.

We watch The Land Before the time. We wrestled. We played Barbies.

Happily the kids to the house and a super Superman and she flew by and you know do all these thing. I did all of those things. We plan for the holidays and vacations. That chapters full man. I think I got a lot of 4000 pages to all that.

Then I got to the other chapters of the spiritual growth and will God.

Well, I should have about those chapters. I don't really exist anyway.

So I thought will Reagan what are you going to do now moving forward? What exactly are you going to do with whatever time you have left? Because it is fleeting. Can you hit over 50 you have less days before you than you already got behind you. And that's the truth.
