And we are going to read and take a look at this morning Mary song. And this is her response to to the news that she had that she would be carrying the Christ child direct reaction. If you will to what God what God was doing in her life and seeing this play out before I said the story here helps us to understand that this similar thing for us is that our worship is really a reaction to what God has done in our wife. A lot of times. We we switch it around and we think this our worship is this action that we give to God but the reality is it's it's really only a reaction to what he's always already done for us. We need to keep that in mind because as an action we become the most important thing in our worship, but if I worship is a reaction that it is that the object of our worship and what he has done that becomes the focus in the central point of what we're doing when we come to worship him. So the story plays out before us Mary had been visited by the angel and she been told that she would to carry the Christ child and then if she was already with child and if she hears this she says this is impossible because I've never I've never known a man I've ever been with somebody in and I'm only get engaged in and of course as we see the saying that it was an act of the Holy Ghost coming upon her that accomplished And her response to that is that is God's will to be done in her life. And that she is the servant of God. She would visit their relatives or cousin Elizabeth Elizabeth the mother of John the Baptist in and she would go visit Elizabeth. He was already further along in her pregnancy and that in itself is a miracle because Elizabeth was too old to have a baby and she is never never had a child. She was always there and yet God will perform a miracle and her as well and she would have John the Baptist new Adidas the process for telling of the Christ the Forerunner if you will the one who has as the Volstead the making of the Lord's rates, he would prepare the way for Christ. It's so Elizabeth and and Mary discuss their pregnancies and and how this was such an unusual occurrence. And then we get to this part in the story Inn in Luke chapter 1 verse 46. We're married first floor and in this song this operation. And this is what we'll focus on this morning the worship that she gives Luke chapter 1 verse 46 and then Mary said the Lord and my spirit dog bite stages for he has had regard for the humble States is Bond slaves from this time on all generations will count for the mighty one has done great things for me and holy is his name and his Mercy is upon generation after generation for those who fear Him He is done my TV with his arm. He is scattered those who were proud of their he has brought down rulers from their Thrones and he has exalted those who were humble. He has filled the Hungry with good things and sent away the wrist. Empty-handed he is giving help to Israel his servant in remembrance of his Mercy as he spoke to our fathers to Abraham and his descendants forever. Mary stayed with her. That's Elizabeth about let's pray together. Heavenly father is Mary worshipping you in and giving praise for all that you were doing in her life help that God to be an example for us to worship you for all you have done in our lives and our hearts to work with you God for your majesty for your mic and for your mercy today to send us when we deserved so much less. We thank you and praise the name of Amen. Amen. Mary song really? It's just that it's a song a reaction to What God was doing in her life. And and I love that that here it is having this conversation. You could almost see it play out seeing and her cousin Elizabeth having this conversation and and not fully understanding the reality the death of what God was doing the promise that would come to each of their sons and maybe not not exactly understanding all of that conversation is like this. Just disperse foreword in this song. She can't hold it back. I tell you what, sometimes that happens for me. I just my wife last because she knows sometimes I just I just can't help it. I just I just burst out the song Lord help you if you're walking around the church and you hear me singing around here. It is certainly isn't is as beautiful to the year is this Brenda Song was a few moments ago. That's that's not exactly me a let me tell you I will burst out in Joy because God has done wonderful things in my life. It's a reaction not not us all that. I am able to do not at all this that I am is a man not at all what I can accomplish but no its reaction of what God has done for me what he is done in my life and seeing her song She's burst out this song and it's the imagine what that must have been like all the beauty of her words. Serbia strong in our heart same way. I love this time of year because music is just absolutely beautiful. And the funny thing about music you can listen to Christmas music for four months or some of y'all go to three months, right? So y'all are putting on the Christmas music in September. Okay. Hey, there's no shame in it and do it and play it whatever you want. But the other music of I mean, you know, you've heard the song a few times it is like to go to the Christmas music.

I think about this the songs at Christmas time and how they just feel our lives with this joy. And in this excitement that we get it, of course, if you're listening to the radio, you're going to get a lot of Christmas songs that don't have a whole lot to do with with Christ. They're just more seasonal type of things and not against the Bible even though they're not neutral melodious songs that remind us of what Christ has done in in the first and in inches

Didn't see that comes out of that and that really is what what's going on here in this passage and Mary just has this this song bubbling forth. And now my friends is what Christmas is about.

You take a look at her reaction. Working her life. I just want to point out three things. You got our first conference in just a few minutes. It may be after the close of the service. So I don't want to take up too much time. We get you off to lunch today when we see it in the first one is this when the song opens up it's all about this exultation idea, right? And here it is. Merry is is 6% Remembering she's bringing out this idea of the Majesty of God. And when we see the Majesty of God when you get a glimpse of that changes you Mary had had an encounter with the messenger of God the angel of the Lord. She had seen face-to-face a glimpse of that and she was having inside of her out of the movement of the Holy Ghost to bring about the Christ Christ time to put him into her. She is a very serious serious the Majesty of God in her life, and she don't hold that against the lift up in exultation who God is you look at her word. She says my soul exhaust the Lord and my spirit has rejoiced in God my savior and As She Goes On You see that God is the one who sits on high God is the one who is above every other every other thing in this world. He sits above all the rulers of the powers are bikinis and God is on top of it all and when we get a glimpse of the Majesty of God changes in effect a great difference in RB, it reminds me of Moses when he went up on the mountain top and he saw the backside of the glory of God. He remember the story. He had he had that in writing writing out this The Ten Commandments Moses Hogan II said after they were broken in his anger.

Can I see your glory? God says Moses if you were to look upon my glory and its fullest you could not live because of your simplest, but I'll do for you. I will pass by in all my glory and I will cover you I was filled you in the cleft of the rock so that it doesn't do any harm but as it's beginning to fade out as I'm leaving in front of you if it were that the symbolism he says you could see the backside of my glory that I'm part of that and that I will do so and just that little groups. Cosmosis in space to radiate so much.

But when he went down the mountain top, the rest of the Israelites looked at him and said you got to cover your face. It's too bright for us to see and Moses was forced to wear a veil to cover too obscure that brightness that was second-hand just the hind part of God's glory. Imagine what the fullness of that Glory must when one day one day that's in that has been forgiven us will be so long gone because we were a body of you so that has no flaws in it and we will be able to be in the throne room of God and see his majesty unobstructed unveiled in all of its food. Oh, man. Oh that's good notice after the Majesty of God Mary list shopping and she recalls the might of now what she didn't pay close attention to this because as you read the couplets of this this poem here and you see this pair together, the mind of God stands in direct contrast to the pride that God puts down and the humility that got off. You see when we think about the might of God. It's it's it's it's humbling for us as human beings. He says Mary says the mighty one has done great things for me. And and holy is his name is Mercy the pain generation after generation towards those that fear Him. She has done anything with his arm those who were proud in the salt to their art. He has brought down rulers from their Thrones and has exalted those who are humble you see God is honored when we are humbled when we approached him in this this humility of knowing that the single witness that we were and the purging of sins that she is accomplished in our life. It's not by our might but by the might of God that I heard, Away from us and it we are then exalted in his eyes. We are brought back up to what he created us to be but notice in contrast to that. There's no room for pride in his Mike Hill scatter the proud and he honors he lifts up the humble folks how we approach. Is directly related to what she will do with us or we going to approach God today with an attitude of Pride with an attitude of selfishness with an attitude that we have self exalted or do we approach him in humility to approach him in the same mindset of Christ? What we have is only through Christ. It's so today when we worship God we must worship Him in all humility. We must worship him knowing that our stature in front of him is only based on his strength in his life. And then notices we look down finally. We see the mercy of God on display.

If God were not merciful. None of us would be here today. And God and all of his Justice could have wiped out the human race the moment they disobeyed and send for the very first time God and all of his Justice could wipe out each one of us the moment. We reject him and send for the first time. But yet. He's a merciful god. He's a loving God. He's a compassionate guy that he cares for us enough to sacrifice his one and only begotten son Jesus Christ. So that we might have forgiveness that we might be saved from our own sins God and all of his Mercy heard about us so much. But he began this story here in a little town of Bethlehem so many centuries Millennium ago. Because you look down the road time. He saw each one of us. I decided. Columbus in spite of who we would be I gave Christ out of all of his Mercy. 2 Beyonce The truth is we celebrate Christmas time. today this season every year year in and year out because not just of the birth of Christ not just the Life of Christ. But that death of Christ that he would die for us in our sin that he would have compassion for us in our misery. And that he would provide a way out when there was no other hope Jesus came was born live that perfect life go to the cross and he could die for our sins that he could once and for all white like clean so that there be no more blocked but there be perfect harmony with us once again, and he did that he rose from the dead 3 Days Later many ascended on high on the right hand of God the father now looking on today right now watching each of us. hoping then if there's any here today that have never accepted Christ. He sits on the right hand of God. The father today hoping is that one will come and accept Christ as their savior today and put faith in him and him alone to forgive.

Is watching right now hoping for that moment. It just a moment. We'll have our time of invitation. The time of invitation is if If you have unconfessed sin in your life, it's the time to come and confess that it if you haven't been living the way that God would have you to live the example of Christ before the common repent and ask God to help you with that. If you have never accepted Christ as your savior, then today is day of salvation for you. If you've never put your faith in him, then today would be the day to step out of your seat. Come down the altar then Journey before God and say God forgive me of my sins and accept Christ as your savior. If if you've never followed Christ in baptism, then then make the decision to follow him in baptism. If you need to unite with the church and membership that makes today the day that unites with the church's membership and if you need any other business with God and open yourself up, if you would you do that today. The altar will be open as always a place to come before God and just about the Nyan and then to just do business with him what he was as we stand and we pray and we begin this thing. Come come as God would have
