Vision 2018: Forward On Holy Ground Luke 2:1-7 Introduction: Peoples celebrate the birth of a king. They rejoice over the birth of royalty. However, birth of THE King made that stable Holy Ground. I. Revelation {Let’s talk about revelation} A. On Holy Ground, in the presence of the Most High God there is revelation. a. Today, I am concerned there is not enough revelation in our Christian walk. That word is feared & people shy from it, they don't want to sound like some weird, crazy fanatic. But you read throughout the Bible when the presence of God manifested there is revelation. b. Could it be, is it more likely we are not experiencing "Holy Ground?" In His presence there is: Revelation of Who He is - Exodus 3:6, John 11:25 Revelation of Healing - Woman with the issue of blood Revelation of Forgiveness – Woman at the well Revelation of Resurrection Power John 11 Tomb of Lazarus Revelation of Wisdom & Knowledge, Direction & Confirmation Revelation of ____________ B. I want to drill down a little in the Revelation of Calling - Exodus 3 Exodus 3:10"Now go, for I am sending you to Pharaoh. You must lead my people Israel out of Egypt.” NLT a. In the revelation to Moses you learn the ground is distinct, separate, unique, holy when the presence of the LORD is manifest. God told Moses, "Exodus 3:5Do not draw near this place. Take your sandals off your feet, for the place where you stand is holy ground. NKJV" b. Then He reveals Who He is. "Exodus 3:6I am the God of your father—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob." c. Response to the revelation is humility, brokenness & contrition. "Exodus 3:6Moses hid his face, for he was afraid to look upon God." NEXT Page - - - - - - - - - - - d. Purpose is revealed. God says He has seen the oppression of Israel, heard their cry & knows their sorrow. Exodus 3:7 e. Then the big bomb drops when Yahweh says to His servant Moses, "Exodus 3:8I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up from that land to a good and large land, to a land flowing with milk and honey…" And, you are going to do that for Me! This event takes place on Holy Ground, in the manifested presence of the LORD God Almighty. Luke 2:8-14 (BIBLE) II. On Holy Ground In the 21st Century when God shows up He still makes the ground holy. The place whether it's in a worship service or at your bathroom sink He makes the ground holy & there is a purpose. We have entered a season you should anticipate, be prepared for & ready to flow with stepping onto Holy Ground. Let’s talk about some events happening around the birth of Messiah. A. Infilling of the Holy Ghost a. Luke 1:15 (BIBLE) Gabriel, an angel of the LORD was sent with a message & prophesied to Zacharias, he would have a son named John & he would be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother's womb. b. Luke 1:41 (BIBLE) Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost when Mary visited her. c. Luke 1:67 (BIBLE) Zacharias was filled with the Holy Ghost. B. Filled with Songs of Joy & Praise a. Luke 1:42-45 (BIBLE) word given from Elizabeth to Mary about Christ. b. Luke 1:46-55 (BIBLE) Song of Mary. c. Luke 1:68-79 (BIBLE) Prophecy & praise of Zacharias. C. Message of Deliverance Heard by all At His birth, they heard the message of Messiah has come to deliver the people from their sins. a. Shepherds in the field. b. They told Joseph & Mary. c. They told the people in the town. III. Standing on Holy Ground A. As you step out of your Comfort Zone and follow your Life Purpose, God will be reliable, faithful and trustworthy! a. He will bring you to places where His presence will be so real & you will know that ground is holy. Be ready to receive from the LORD. b. This has been said of that great preacher Smith Wigglesworth: Smith Wigglesworth was an illiterate plumber but he didn't allow that to define him. It should have disqualified him from leaving his history making legacy. He was not qualified by any one gift, talent or ability; it was the presence of SomeOne. B. The reason we can do this is because of the resurrection of Christ. - He asks us to: * Repent * Live by Faith * Be Baptized * Be Filled with His Spirit Conclusion: PRESENT THE GOSPEL FOR SALVATION – EVERY WEEK – AND THE NEED TO COME FORWARD IN PUBLIC ACCEPTANCE OF CHRIST
