SPEAK TO NEED
This time of the year enjoy being young, or reflecting on own you and songs like I don’t want to grow I’m a toys are us kid… Theres bikes to trains to video games it’s the biggest toy store there is… I don’t wanna grow up Cause baby if I did I couldn’t be a Toy’s R Us kid.
1 Corinthians 13:11 ESV
11 When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I gave up childish ways.
We live in a day people are resistant to the spiritual maturing process, some people just don’t want to be adults. BUT SOME AS ALL I NEED IS ME, MYSELF, I, MY TV, MY INTERNET AND I CAN HAVE AN EXPERIENCE WITH GOD? YOU CAN BUT YOU WON’T GROW? AM I RIGHT ABOUT IT? THAT’S GOOD NEWS!
You are not mature if you have a high esteem of yourself. He who boasts in himself is but a babe in Christ, if indeed he be in Christ at all. Young Christians may think much of themselves. Growing Christians think themselves nothing. Mature Christians know that they are less than nothing. The more holy we are, the more we mourn our infirmities, and the humbler is our estimate of ourselves.  ~ C.H. Spurgeon
Hallelujah!!!
PLEASE STAND WITH ME FOR THE READING OF GOD’S HOLY WORD!
2 Corinthians 13:11–14 ESV
11 Finally, brothers, rejoice. Aim for restoration, comfort one another, agree with one another, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you. 12 Greet one another with a holy kiss. 13 All the saints greet you. 14 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
State Key Verse: Finally, brothers, rejoice. Aim for restoration, comfort one another, agree with one another, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you.  (2 Cor 13:11)
I like to preach this morning as the Holy Spirit guides from the thought...
State the Title: JUST GROW! <Tells somebody God put his seed in you… JUST GROW!

JUST GROW!

Prayer of Illumination: Father, send your Holy Spirit and fill us that our hearts are receptive to your word. Help me to be faithful to your word, give me clarity needful for our journey, give me your power to preach with the authority you have given, and passion for your glory to be revealed, guide us by your wisdom, may I decrease and you INCREASE LORD JESUS and set all captives free, loosen every chain in Jesus name.
INTRODUCTION
Learning to the importance of Family, how it works
PAUL sees the seed of mature spiritual life ready to sprout ......
Who: The Apostle Paul writes this letter to the church of Corinth (planted on second missionary journey) and sends it by Titus hand. This is the 4th and final letter; 1 Cor was the second letter, the first letter as lost, the 3rd was the tearful letter possibly following his painful second visit.
What: A minority of the church of Corinth are still questioning Paul’s Apostleship; false apostles are now there in the church, Paul defends his apostleship of Jesus Christ because the Gospel and the spiritual life of the Corinthian Church is as stake.
When: He wrote this letter on his 3rd missionary journey.
Where: From Macedonia
Why: Chapter 13 Paul closes his letter with 4 gentle reminders. First, be ready for his visit, when he comes he will becoming boldly to deal with sin through the power of God. Second, be sure of your salvation; they had been examining Paul, but to examine themselves to see if they are truly if the faith and truly saved repenting when you need to. Third, to be obedient to God’s word; that in our weakness you are stronger and being restored and built up in truth that no correction is needed.

At the time of our text the concluding words of Paul 4th and final letter before he comes for his 3rd visit he sets forth challenges for the Corinthian Church grow up. But, how does he challenge them and us to mature in or faith?

To grow...

I. LIVING IN LOVE AND PEACE (v. 11)

A. ________ IMMATURE DON’T SEE VALUE IN LOVE AND PEACE WITH OTHERS, ALIENATION IS SEEN AS A PART OF LIVE NOT A PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED.

Ephesians 2:19 ESV
19 So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God,
LIFE IS ABOUT RELATIONSHIPS
look at our text.
2 Corinthians 13:11 ESV
11 Finally, brothers, rejoice. Aim for restoration, comfort one another, agree with one another, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you.
Paul is commanding them to be cheerful, keep things in good repair, keep your spirits up, think in harmony, be agreeable… Doing all that, and the God of love and peace with be with you for sure.

B. AS BROTHERS AND SISTERS IN CHRIST WE MATURE AND MOVE TOWARD PERFECTION WHEN WE STAY TOGETHER.

THERE ARE 5 IMPERATIVES, 2 PERSON PLURAL; FOR THE CHURCH: YOU ALL REJOICE, YOU ALL AIM FOR RESTORATION OR PERFECTION, YOU ALL BE COMFORTED (passive voice) BY ONE ANOTHER, YOU ALL THINK OR BE OF ONE MIND, YOU ALL LIVING IN RECONCILATION AND HARMONY WITH ONE ANOTHER.
Matthew 5:13 ESV
13 “You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people’s feet.
You have flavor

II. SHOWING LOVE AND PEACE (vv. 12-13)

watch this;
2 Corinthians 13:12–13 ESV
12 Greet one another with a holy kiss. 13 All the saints greet you.

B. WE SHOW LOVE BY GREETING ONE ANOTHER AND RECEIVING THE GREETINGS OF OTHERS.

NO IT DON’T MEAN KISS EVERYONE, HOLY KISS IS A FIGURE OF SPEECH FOR THAT CULTURE, IT WAS AN ACCEPTED SOCIAL CONVENTION PRACTICE IN CHURCHES. MENTION 4 TIMES IN PAUL’S LETTERS AND ONCE AS A KISS OF LOVE IN 1 PETER.
1 Peter 5:14 ESV
14 Greet one another with the kiss of love. Peace to all of you who are in Christ.
THE INWARD PEACE AND LOVE TO ALSO TO BE AFFIRMED OUTWARDLY. YOU CAN SAY YOU LOVE SOMEONE AND NOT WANT TO GREET OR RECEIVE THEM!!!! TO GREET WITH A HOLY OR SANCTIFIED EMBRACE OR HAND SHAKE.
John 13:35 ESV
35 By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

III. LIVING IN COMMUNION WITH GOD (vv. 14)

A. _______ Many are challenged to understand the trinity, how can GOD be in three person. The LORD GOD is spirit and exists eternally as one essences in three persons with distinct functions in the work to redeem man back to God. Some say this is like water, water can be a solid (ice), liquid or steam but still it is H2o. Some say it is like a pretzel, one pretzel has three holes, hole 1 is not 2 or 3. Each hole is unique but one pretzel...

Look; Watch how Paul describes GOD.
