Which article I wrote does about him.

Give me the title for an interview.

a long time ago

Superman everyone in love with him

so that last part was kind of just Fun and exciting right but it does it just painted picture. Our savior is so much more powerful than Superman in itself. But even everything that they could throw at Superman. But it didn't even affect him. Even when the guy pulled a gun and try to shoot him in the eyeball, which you would think, you know, if there's a soft spot on anybody's body. Even Superman's would be your I write in the denomme does that to us? He he he tries to find our weakest point and just and just attack right there, but I want to focus a little bit about on on what Superman's dad was saying in his head some things that correlate with our savior and some things that our savior puts mainly puts the shame and says our savior is so much better while he's flying up in the air Superman's dad says you were raised as a human but you'll never be one of them. And the interesting part is our our Bible tells us that Jesus was fully man and fully God. It's not that he just he came to this earth and and he was above us and and better than us. He was fully human fully God. It says it's the only lack the light to show the way. I am Jesus in John 14:6. I am the way the truth and the life no one comes to the father except through me. Something about that statement is interesting. I am the way but that tells us that he is a guide he is the way for us to follow. It's something to follow. It's a guide the light. I am the truth. I'm Something to Believe In I am something to have faith and I'm the truth. I'm the absolute truth and the light. Light is something to reflect. And the other morning or evening, I was trying to hang something on her wall in her living room and there's no light in our living room at all. And so I turn the hall light on in the kitchen light on the laundry room light on just to get the reflection of the light that lit up the room just enough for me to hang this this board on the wall and so is interesting how much brighter the room got as I added light around it. And how much brighter our life gets the more we hang out with Christians the more we hang out with one another the more time. We we we spend in Fellowship how how much brighter our life gets how much easier it is to see an a in a sense. It's easier to send it to see our own flaws so that we can fix them. But it's also easier for us to to see God's light when we're hanging out with God people. speaking of reflecting the light 2nd Corinthians 3:18

It says our faces are not covered with a veil we all display the Lord's Glory. We are being changed to become more like him so that we have more and more glory and the glory comes from the Lord. Who is the Holy Spirit? We are being changed more and more to be like God we are made to reflect his glory.

I just kind of wanted to throw a little Hawaiian pidgin in there because sometimes the verses are pretty awesome. It says the same verse says as how he changes folk come awesome. Gel like him going well and our faces no stay covered up and now we can stay taking plenty about how awesome the boss is the spirit from the boss. That's how he helps us. So that's how Hawaiian pidgin would say it we need to be awesome just like him and that's how it when we reflect God's glory. We we we reflect on the fact of how awesome God is helping up there. And so

where this comes from is when Moses came down from Mount Sinai. He had he had been up there awhile. It says 40 days and 40 nights and he didn't need anything. He was sustained by the glory of God and he reflected the glory of God. And so he reflected the glory of God so much that it frighten the people around him. So he put a veil over his face after he when he was speaking what God I told him to speak to the two people. He he left the veil open. So it was a Thor it was taken in a thority. But but when he was just Meandering around the people in a veil over his face cuz that Glory was just so bright how awesome would it be if we were so close to God that we were reflected his glory to the point where it scared the people who didn't know him. It's not necessarily scared him away from us, but but intrigued them to know what we have. bright

He says Superman's dad again says for this reason above all their capacity for good. I gave them my only son. Messi interesting enough God God gave us his only son but it wasn't with any stipulation of our capacity for good. We have a capacity for good and that's where this verse comes from for. We are God's handiwork created in Christ. Jesus to do good works which God prepared in advance for us to do but while his son was hanging on a cross we were singing throwing stones and and and we were pounding those nails. And he still sent us his son cuz he loves us that much is not just because we have the ability to do good things that he loves us because he loves us so much regardless if we do good things or not. And so

that's why I say it's a contrast between Superman and Jesus. Jesus is so much better. I mean, he was fully human and fully God. He he came when we didn't love him at all. Our capacity for good was diminishing and he saved us from that. He also predestined us for that good stuff, but The price is so much bigger than than a superhero. Not not only the fact that Superman can only be in one spot at a time. Even if you was fast as a speeding bullet, right? But we are all chosen by God to do his work. Did you good works for forgot and we're going to get a little bit deeper into that. I'm just remember we are all chosen by God, even if we chose to follow him. He chose us first.

Are some people asking questions now my back there that I answer.

You're here for an interview.

Let's start with a question. katana

astronomer stop at Canada

I had to see for myself.

Well your back and everyone seems to be pretty happy about it.

That's why I rode the world doesn't need a savior. I need a job.

Why? Does anyone show you?

I can't believe you left without saying goodbye because it was too unbearable for you. Personally. I think that's really crap.

I have everything.

You look at the world.

People crying for what?

So doesn't that seem all our culture does the same thing, right? In our culture says we don't need a savior. Our culture says we don't we don't need anything to follow we can do it on our own. We don't need God and and yet. Our hearts tell us differently. Our our our souls tell us differently who are our faith in our beliefs. Tell us we need Jesus. We we understand that the the Bible talks about this since I was a fart for the message of the Cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved. It is the power of God. The message of the Cross is the power of God. Isn't it interesting that there's a few things that Louis says she says I forgot how warm you are. Isn't it now Superman at this point had been gone for 5 years? So there was a long-distance but isn't it interesting how quick we can forget the comfort of Christ when this world just kind of covers us up and maybe we get too busy and we miss a couple weeks of church and then a couple summers ago we missed a couple weeks of church and and actually whole summer and it's like it took me awhile to realize. Hey, you know what? I'm missing something. It's that comfort of Christ the only God can give you

She says Superman says listen, what do you hear Louis has nothing?

When we put our ear to the ground in this culture we hear there is no need for a savior. Right if you just walk out the door you you see a culture that doesn't want anything to do with God. They wants to push him out of our schools and and out of our Lives as much as they possibly can but as Christians, we know that that's the least of what they need. Cuz if everybody knew Jesus, I mean how much better what our world be I'm in his word says that the message of the Cross is the power of God. the power of God and so

it says in Matthew 7:6 do not give dogs. What is sacred do not throw your pearls to pigs. If you knew they may trample them under their feet and turn and tear you to pieces. This is kind of a heart scripture because you could read this to me like at all and I don't need to share Christ with anybody right because of this culture is so anti-god and now there's no reason to share with them, but But the only way to know if they're going to trample the pearls of God the word of God is to share it with him first now if you share Christ with somebody and they reject you if they're not rejecting you they're rejecting God. They're just listening to this culture that's got to such a loud voice and so we should share Christ with people we should embrace the fact that the message of the cross that gospel is God's power power of God has the power of God has the power to change people's lives that has the power to to just completely flip somebody's world around.

But in those rare cases or somebody is just like every time you bring up Jesus they they shut you down or they they they basically trample the word or they spit on spit on the truth and they just don't want anything to do with it. The more you share with them the more you're going to push him away from God and you And in those cases Jesus says love your enemy. Just love them. Then this Choice use the message of God and preach to them is just as love them and we used to have a a used in our class and she would come to class and she would talk about how she would like argue with atheists like really yelling arguments with these atheist at school. And I'm like you don't need to do that. There's no reason for it. They're not receiving the word just love them. But they said that I don't care what they say.

Just love them and I think that's what it's talking about it and since when there's no sense to do to beat Jesus with somebody who doesn't believe because the message of the Cross is foolishness to those who don't believe right and ends in it shouldn't be a shocker to us when and hurt us when we we do go out and we have the courage to share Christ with somebody and they mock us are they persecute us a ridiculous? It shouldn't shouldn't be a shock to us. He should be just a confirmation what God said. This is this is foolishness to them. And so, you know when on people I have asked people to go to prison ministry with me and and and go evangelize and do stuff. I used to be Baptist believe Angela has a lot of all we ever did really end and they're there. Their response was like well done with the people are just going to reject me know this rejecting God. So it's important for us to go tell people about Jesus. It's important for us to love them first and then love them after even if they reject God and they they they they rebelled against us and they even if they spit in our in our saviors face, I've had people like curse Jesus and my relationship with Jesus to me before and and I have to choose to love them anyways, and usually those are people that are closer to you than just strangers, but I But it's important for us to remember God's Comfort because that's how we're going to win people to Jesus. This is to beat to show that Comfort to them. It's also important for us to remember that God warned us about this culture and how they're going to be in and how they're going to act and and he said just I want you to go and tell him anyways want you to tell them my story. I want you to love on them and I want you to love them to me by the word of the lord lord and the voice of Our Testimony people will be saved in Revelations. It says that and so

I think we are Nick. Yes, we are to the next video.

So this time? This culture can be cruel is my mic off still. There. It is. It can be cruel and unusual and heavy and even sometimes God can can put something in your in your way. This is is kind of heavy and he wants to carry you through.

I know I thought about that because he's he's he just picked up a boat a massive boat out of the ocean and and how some of the biggest cranes in the world couldn't do that really and we see just The heaviness of something and how it's kind of like Christ does does that for us when we give Christ Our burden when we give him our heaviness?

He grabs onto us and then he can make sure they were clear and he says are you are you ready? And he just lets go of the burden and it's it's on him and it's gone and you're free from it. Isn't that why we do Freedom groups? And some of our heaviness in our burdens we carry for for a lifetime and some of them are like real short stance. A couple weeks ago we had an unfortunate situation our family and and my nephew died. Anna they asked me to do the funeral. Man, that was heavy. I was so like so I said yes immediately and then I was talking to one of my best friends who is a great Christian man, because you know, you don't have to say yes all the time. And I thought about that and eat me up like I don't have to do this, but wait a minute.

When I accepted Christ, I die to myself I live for God. the song God put something in my My wheelhouse if you save my my grass and says says he can you do this for me in and I knew why they were asking me because cuz I was only Christian in my family that loved my cousin to my cousin's son. But I the only one that loved him through all of his garbage and he a lot of it.

And I knew that's why he was asking me to do it was I was honored but it was such a heavy heavy burden the day of and the day after like I had such a heaviness on me that I just the only way I got through. It was just praying and praising just like the song we sing this morning. Pray, praying to God and praising him cuz I knew he was going to take that off me in 3 within 3 days that heaviness just was completely gone and it was it was more a reality of me letting it go and just saying God it's yours take it from me. It's yours, but really letting it go because a lot of times we tell God. Yeah, this is yours here. Take this from me take this from me and we're still holding on to it. And and in that movie, they are still holding on to the boat. They would have been ripped in half, you know, if it would not have been a pretty sight and and and so many times are heart gets corn because we're not willing to Just Surrender it all and give it to God and say this is yours. I died to my old self I live for you God. This is yours now. Take it from me.

It's weird how we hang out hang on to stuff. Isn't it? That's not even good for us. It has no Comfort. It has no no benefit. It's just what we hang on to it. Maybe it's because it's something that's like the only thing we know. And that that the unknown of of just falling at our our feet our knees and and giving it all to God is just a little terrifying is that reflecting God's glory to the point where people might see me reflect God's glory and I don't know what I'm going to do about that. Matthew 11:28 come to me all you who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest.

complete trust in God in order when that boat was falling the in order to like Say yes, we're clear. I got them. We have to completely trust Superman right he had to completely trust that Superman was going to take care of them in the same aspect in our life. We got to completely trust that God has has Us in his hands. He has us and he's not letting go trust in the Lord with all your heart lean not on your own understanding in all your ways submit to him and he will make your path straight. Sometimes we have to pray and ask God to find my ways that I'm not submitted. Finding me where I'm not submitting to you so that I can submit it all to you. So that I know that. I'm as close as I can be to God.

interesting

in the Bible times that the disciples would say I long to be covered in the dust of my rabbi. We basically meant that I want to be following them is closed following my Rabbi as close as I possibly can at his desk is covered. And and in that way they used to the way they used to pray was like you would see a prayer line of people walking and praying and they would lay flat on the ground. We turned it into by your head because we're Americanized an end and that's what it became. Right? But what in the Bible times they would literally lay flat on the ground and they would follow their as they're walking in there praying to God.

Complete submission, but also the fact that you would be covered in the dust of your Rabbi because your face will be at his feet and you would be you would be following him. And so

kind of interesting two more videos

so long

Now this is kind of the world's reaction to a savior.

Pro sooner thinking as I saw Lex Luthor break off the Kryptonite Kryptonite was a Superman. If you don't know anything about Superman is his his only weakness. It's it's like our sin. Basically it's a it's the one thing that separates us from the power of God is at sent that's in and it only took a little piece that that they stuck inside a Superman to just Completely immobilized and then we don't get rid of all the seminar lives it can it can immobilize our Ministries in a can can can keep us from from growing closer to God when we're holding onto a saying or only have seen this is just stuck in it or world. It is so subjective monstrous two-seat interesting thing is they in this movie. They dressed Lex Luthor up and white to look like a good guy or something like pure and and is that to me that's interesting because in our lives most of our saying is so it's attractive. It's enticing it's not it's not like the evil stuff in her heart. It's it's a stuff we enjoy it's the stuff. We like it's the attractive things. It's it's the things that just just grab our attention, right? And so did this world the world depicts a devil as this this monster that is going to Chill still in devour you which is true. But at the same time he was the most beautiful angel the most attractive things in our life or usually the what's pulling to stand Dragon us away from God. And so I just want to kind of paint a picture of how

this is kind of a crowd of people. Work they were were judging Christ at that time. They had a well-known prisoner whose name was Jesus Barabbas. I find it interesting this time. When I read it you can read versus hundred million times in the one time. It just pops out at you for rabbits. His name was Jesus. Also, it was a common Jewish name Joshua or just you sure but it's like would you like to release Jesus or Jesus Jesus Barabbas? So when the crowd had gathered pilot ask them? Which one do you want me to release to you Jesus Barabbas or Jesus who is called the Messiah. Or he knew it was out of self-interest that they had handed Jesus over to him. What pilot was sitting on the judge's seat? His wife sent him this message don't have anything to do with that innocent man for I have suffered a great deal today in a dream because of him.

But the chief priests and Elders persuaded the crowd to ask for Barabbas and to have Jesus executed. Which of the two do you want me to release to you? Ask the governor for a best answer? What should I do then with Jesus who is called? The Messiah pilot asked they all answered crucify him. Why what crime is he committed as pilot, but they shouted louder crucify him.

This world and I see Lex Luthor in and he's he's all out for power and money and and fame and he's out to destroy the savior of the world and that's what are our culture says to do is to strive for power and money and strength.

It also says follow your heart how many times have you heard? Oh just follow your heart And Jeremiah says the heart is deceitful above all things and Beyond cure who can understand it. Now if your heart is aligned with Christ. Yes, follow your heart. But don't let your heart lead you let your choice to follow Christ lead you and and then let your heart follow that.

living in a culture that

That shouts we don't need a savior that shops we can do this on her own that shouts.

everything that Christianity stands for you know is is old fashioned or traditional on living in that kind of culture means we need to stand up and and reflect God's glory even more we need to

We need to basically be so close to God we can feel his comfort feel his warmth just like Louis was that close to Superman who she claimed to him as soon as she noticed how high up she was she claimed to him and realize how how warm is everyone of us need to clean to God and closeness and and comfort find our comfort in Christ in and seek out our savior everyday seek his face. With one more video and this this video so the kid in the video. If you've never seen the Superman movies on the kid is Superman's this is something that I didn't really like about the movie at all the fact that Superman and Lois Lane. You know made a kid and then Superman left for 5 years didn't even know he had a kid. It's not something Superman would do.

I mean you got super powers he would have been able to tell mediately that she had a kid, right and then you can see through anything and but Hollywood right Hollywood turn the Saviour into like a guy who has very little integrity and and very little no. E and Hollywood took a savior and said look, we can just cultural cultural Aizen and Anna and I think that's a lot of churches are doing that these days a lot of this whole culture is like, you know you Jesus is okay. You know he was just a normal guy. You know Superman was okay. He's just a normal guy who could fly and stop bullets with his eyeballs.

But he made mistakes which in the old movies Sue Randy to make mistakes like that not in the originals and so and and Jesus never made mistakes. So it's just interesting how our culture just filters into everything.

KOA

I'm always around.

interesting thing is it only took one Movie 5 years for probably not 5 years for Louis to think that the world didn't need Superman but it only took one movie for her to realize how much soil do you need to save your right some things that Superman said to his son. He kind of just plagiarize from the Bible. I think God says all those straight to us and it's really important for us to get to know it's all the sudden you will be different and in 1st Thessalonians 4:3 says it it is God's will that we should be Sanctified or set apart set apart for for his work and his doing and several other verses that when we we already talked about it, but when we accepted Christ we die do our self and we live for him or or in him. See you'll feel like an outcast Matthew 5:10 says blessed are those who are persecuted. when were persecuted we feel like an outcast when when when we go out into the world and and we don't have our our fellow Believers with us and and we're surrounded by non-believers and we can fill a little Outcast ish. Right? Like I'm the only one maybe if you go to college or you're in the school somewhere that's very likely to happen. You'll never be alone Deuteronomy 31-6 says I will never leave you nor forsake you be strong and courageous he says to us and you will make my strength your own John 14 16 17 verse where God God just gives us the Holy Spirit, you know, you will make my strength your own. I'm we have the power of God inside of us when we accept him.

You will see my life through your eyes as your life will be seen through mine and the closer we get to God the more we see things like God does Wheatley reflect his image, but we we actually he he transforms us into His Image. So we look more like him. We talk more like him. I remember when I first accepted Christ. How about 6 months later? I threw an F-bomb in church and was a call. I better clean that up and it was like my myclu to be like hey now, I know I need to start Allowing God to clean me up. I found him. He found me now. It's time to start cleaning up my my my act and in my life and allowing him to clean my my life up.

You will see my life through your eyes as your life will see through mine. I see that in this verse especially for you died in your life is now hidden with Christ in God is one of my favorite verses 3 hidden in Christ. When are you going to read that verse? I I I picture God look into that big book of life and looking down and finding my name and it being crossed out and Christ written over the top of it. I'm being hidden in Christ name when God looks at me. He sees Jesus and so I don't want to disappoint even though I will no matter what but I want to look at as much like Jesus as I can and so not the Hollywood Jesus. I'm going to grow my hair out and all that stuff, but I do want it to look like like him in and every action of my life. And so I know this was kind of everywhere but me and it's very difficult to take a iMovie and make a a sermon out of it that flows Michael. Can you come up and probably a little bit but maybe today?

Maybe you don't need it. No Jesus and you realize that you need to reflect that light more maybe. Maybe you realize your need for a savior is so much more than you thought it was maybe you have burdens that you're carrying around is a prayer team would come up maybe have a burden that is just so heavy right now that you can't carry it alone bible. Does it only say just to cash your burdens on? On the him it says that we should carry them one another each one of us should carry each other's burdens it lightning to load it if we're going to pick up the piano we're going to use three of us, right even though it's fake. I'm still going to use three of us the load. And so if you have burdens on your heart this morning if you have anything Hurting our or maybe something that God has put in your wheelhouse. It is to that guy to said you need to

heavy

come up and get some prayer allow us to carry that burden for you with you. Carry the burden.

Greatest things about being here at this church was that I had the confidence that when I had to come out to my pastor to say hi. Stubbornness and heaviness. We get our freedom and you are glue to hold on to that freedom trust in everything like that when we love you take me to minutes today. If you need to come up, please come over.
