David having experienced God’s generosity looks to pass it on to others.

Grace: It Arrives Unexpectedly (1-5)

12 Days of Christmas from the Mirandas.
Mephibosheth is in Lo-Debar, a place of no pasture.
He has had a disappointing life, once destined for greatness, he lies crippled and in shame.
He is hiding. Then comes a knock at the door - A summons from the king could have meant death. He does not know it yet, but he is about to receive the generosity of the king.
A summons from the king could have meant death.

Galatians 3:13–14 ESV

Grace: It’s Accepted in the King’s Presence (9-13)

David’ did not bring Mephiboseth into the palace to be a servant. He already had plenty of those.
David wanted him to enjoy being in his presence.
God did not save you because of what he could get out of you, but so that you could enjoy his presence.
Ephesians 1:5–6 NKJV
having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.
Ephesians 1:4–6 ESV
even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love he predestined us for adoption to himself as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will, to the praise of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us in the Beloved.

Ephesians 1:6 ESV
to the praise of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us in the Beloved.
