The author of Hebrews has just asked them to pray for him, and then he turns around and prays for his readers Now I believe in his prayer what we see is that the God of peace equips he equips us with everything we need for salvation through Jesus Christ, and he equips us with everything we need to live for his glory. This prayer is a literal praying back to God his promises God has ordained prayer as the way for us to lay hold of his promises. It is through prayer that we acknowledge how needy we are and that our God is mighty to provide when he does provide God gets the glory because we understand that he did it and not us.
