My Strive Goal

I’m sure that’s a question we have all asked ourselves before....I mean, we should have at least, because Christ commanded us to love one another in John 13

What did He say? “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this, all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

What awesome words right? What a promise!

Christ is telling his disciples, Christ is telling us who are believers that EVERYTHING rests on our love for one another

Even think to the Greatest commandment....love the Lord your God and love one another

Everything we do should be centered around LOVE

STRIVES HEART

If you want to know what our heart is behind everything we do in Strive, it’s this:

That we would love one another with a love like no other

As says, we want to PURSUE LOVE

My goal in my entire ministry is this: that we would be a group of believers who love one another so deeply that people take notice and glorify our Father in Heaven as says

Jesus is literally saying in :

You want to know how people will know you are a believer? You want to know how you can further the Gospel? You want assurance of salvation? You wish you knew what God wanted for your life as you ponder decisions?

Here it is: LOVE ONE ANOTHER

In everything you do: LOVE

Not an emotional love, not a i give to get type of love, but with a selfless love

Come together as believers and put others first so that you can be unified as believers. Come together as a youth group with a unity and community that is out of this world so that the world takes notice

Small Groups

You were able to meet your small group leaders tonight, you were able to see the relationships that we are fostering in those groups, and I want you to realize, our heart behind those groups is that we would love one another in those groups with a love we don’t know anywhere else

They have a deep love for Christ, and they have a deep love for your teens

We’ve designed these groups to be a place where we can be ourselves, where we can be real, where we can share struggles and victories.

A place where the weak are strengthened

Where those in need can be helped and cared for

Where we can have these relationships

Where compassion is found

Where trust is a given

Where we can be held accountable for our actions, as we strive together for the faith of the Gospel

A place where we can confess sin in our lives

And also a place where we can receive forgiveness

And all of that is possible, because of the love of Christ

And that’s why everything we do around here is centered around PURSUING LOVE

Because Christ pursued us, and we are all about Him and His glory

- Christ pursued us with a selfless, humble, obedient, all out type of love

Listen to this: “5 Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, 6 who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, 7 but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.
