A shaved Head

V 21
the long hair represented the power of God
he being separated unto God
But now the head is shaved
no power, no eyes, shackled, grinding wheat
A great powerful man of God, disgraced, reduced to a comic diversion
led around by a small boy, like a puppy

The Ungodly Rejoice

the Philistines had a great party
happy because their god dagon defeated Yahweh

Praise dagon
V 25 bring out Gods man that we can humiliate him
When a man of God falls there is great news
it causes the world to rejoice
We ARE the body of Christ
The cause of Christ is greatly affected

His Hair started to Grow back

The relationship with God started
Forgiveness has been granted
Restoration has begun
God’s discipline is never isolated from His restoration. God never punishes believers; He always disciplines them. The difference is very important. Punishment is designed to satisfy justice, but discipline is designed to produce maturity and to restore to usefulness.

You need to know the difference between forgiveness and restoration. - Forgiveness focuses on the sin of the person and restoration focuses on service and trust. - Forgiveness is immediate; restoration is gradual. It took time for Samson’s hair to grow back.
The purpose of God’s discipline is to refine us not to break us
