Are You In The Fight?

1 Timothy 6:6–12 NKJV
Now godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content. But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. But you, O man of God, flee these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness. Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.

Many times we hear about spiritual warfare, but do we really understand it? When are we partaking of it? How do we fight? Do I believe in spirits and spiritual things?
No person can share with you anymore than what they have experienced
These are questions that our busy american lives don’t really allow us time to ponder, or we ourselves may not care to ponder.
Whether we realize it or not, the answer and reaction to these questions, or lack thereof, have affected us to this very day and will affect us following every moment of our lives.
So if but for a short time, allow me to give you some information for consideration this morning, whether a visitor or a Born Again Christian.
From the time we are naturally born, we are in a fight.
We unfortunately are born into the losing side, although many times it may appear to be winning.
Whether you believe it or not, much of what we see has its’ roots in a realm we typically cannot see.
Currently we see a push for “equality”, but at the root of much of this push is the desire for
We can see that we are on the losing side by all the hurt, let downs, disappointments, death, disease, catastrophes, etc. that we experience and see as we grow up.
Where do aliens come from? Who do mediums talk to? Where do psychics get
For those of us here who have been Born Again of water and Spirit, we know multiple times over the reality of the realm that lies parallel to us. But many times we seem reluctant to want to engage it outside of the four walls of our Church’s building.
This is not what Jesus exampled for us, nor His Apostles/Disciples, nor were His instructions to sit idly by.
From the time our Lord was born and was conscious of Who He was, He followed the leading of the Divine Spirit within Him.
Following Passover at the age of 12, a young Jesus stayed behind in Jerusalem to discuss the Word of G-d with the religious leaders of that time (-11)
By the testimony of The Holy Scriptures, Jesus’ mother and stepfather were both righteous, living in right standing according the The Law of G-d. Surely they prayed, fasted, and attended their local Synagogue.
We can see evidence of this in Jesus’ own life for typically we all exhibit the behaviors that we observed, were taught, and encouraged to develop.
At the Age of 30, Jesus began His ministry to The Jewish People ().
From the outset Jesus starts off with prayer and fasting in the wilderness, and in His physically weakest moment, overcame the god of this world by sticking with what The Creator of the world said was the right thing to do.
Jesus effectively began to wage war on the kingdom of satan.
From this time on, Jesus lives the rest of His earthly life, up to the time of His betrayal, crucifixion, burial, and resurrection, in The Power of The Spirit of G-d which dwelt in Him.
Mark 1:21–27 NKJV
Then they went into Capernaum, and immediately on the Sabbath He entered the synagogue and taught. And they were astonished at His teaching, for He taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes. Now there was a man in their synagogue with an unclean spirit. And he cried out, saying, “Let us alone! What have we to do with You, Jesus of Nazareth? Did You come to destroy us? I know who You are—the Holy One of God!” But Jesus rebuked him, saying, “Be quiet, and come out of him!” And when the unclean spirit had convulsed him and cried out with a loud voice, he came out of him. Then they were all amazed, so that they questioned among themselves, saying, “What is this? What new doctrine is this? For with authority He commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey Him.”
Everywhere He went He sent waves into the realm we can’t see, He healed, He set straight those who were going astray in the way they were living their lives, He cast out demonic spirits out of those who were possessed. His Power was the proof of The Truth of His message.
Everywhere He went He sent waves into the realm we can’t see, He healed, He set straight those who were going astray in the way they were living their lives, He cast out demonic spirits out of those who were possessed. His Power was the proof of The Truth of His message.
He chose 12 disciples, although He has many more, who would be with Him day and night.
They ate with Him, slept next to Him, heard Him when He prayed and taught, watched Him when He worked His miracles and were eventually sent out to do the same.
At the end of His earthly ministry and right before His raising to heaven, He gave some instructions to His disciples who would now be His Apostles, those sent by Him to carry of His mission and be the pillars of what we call The Church.
Matthew 28:18–20 NKJV
And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.
Matthew 28:
Just as they had been taught, not just in doctrine, but also in discipline, Jesus’ disciples were to now reproduce in others.
They were to make disciples.
Here is what He said about those disciples.
Mark 16:15–18 NKJV
And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”
Mark 16:
Those who came to trust in Him through the word of His disciples would exhibit the same signs and miracles as Jesus did.

Living Like Jesus

John 3:1–7 NKJV
There was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. This man came to Jesus by night and said to Him, “Rabbi, we know that You are a teacher come from God; for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him.” Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?” Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’
John 3:
This is where our New Life Begins. This is where we begin to walk in the footsteps of Jesus, His authority, His Power.
Prior to this, most of us are just bystanders, prisoners, or casualties of a war being fought that we cannot see and don’t even realize that’s going on.
Acts 1:8 NKJV
But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
Acts
When we receive The Holy Spirit, we receive the same Spirit that flowed through Jesus and overpowered the demonic and unclean spirits.
Acts 2:38-39
Acts 2:38–39 NKJV
Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.”
When we are obedient to the instructions of The Apostles, we are BORN into a realm that we previously were just bystanders to. Now we are active participators.
As Disciples we need to be hitting milestones, just a child, for those who have them or have raised them.
Like Jesus, there are some basic that need to be introduced to us that we need to be worked with on through a mentor, and that we need to individually be working on ourselves.
Jesus was a mentor. He was the Ultimate Disciple Maker, and we are supposed to be like Him.
After a couple of years, we should have the basic disciplines down, like Jesus did (prayer, fasting, getting into The Word, witnessing to those around us).
These spiritual disciplines give place to Jesus being able to take us collectively and individually further and deeper spiritually.
Maintaining these spiritual disciplines in our lives will ensure that we are growing in out relationship with and to Jesus, and will maintain and grow in our spiritual authority.
Share a story: Jaden and the stove
Spiritual disciplines are necessary to help keep our compromised flesh in submission and to allow our spirit to be strengthened and flourish (fasting coupled with prayer and The Word).
Did you know we can exercise spiritual gifts and still be earthly/carnally minded? Just read 1 Corinthians!
1 Corinthians 3:1–3 NKJV
And I, brethren, could not speak to you as to spiritual people but as to carnal, as to babes in Christ. I fed you with milk and not with solid food; for until now you were not able to receive it, and even now you are still not able; for you are still carnal. For where there are envy, strife, and divisions among you, are you not carnal and behaving like mere men?
You can exercise spiritual gifts due to your faith in believing you can and Jesus making it available to you, but you could be lacking in bearing spiritual fruit.
You can exercise spiritual gifts due to your faith in believing you can and Jesus making it available to you, but you could be lacking in bearing spiritual fruit.
Perhaps you’re giving up during your times of testing, or proving. Perhaps you’re taking the easy way out.
Spiritual Warfare starts with you!
1 Corinthians 2:7–16 NKJV
But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory, which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God. These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one. For “who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Christ.
Romans 12:1–2 NKJV
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
As we are progressing, Jesus will gives us new perspectives about life by His Spirit and give us insight into His Word.
We have to work with Jesus and He works in us.
The adversary will always seek to keep our attention on ourselves. If we can never get passed our own problems and own desires for our lives , then we won’t really be able to help those around us and fight on their behalf.
Like it or not you and I have ways of thinking that more line up with the way satan thinks than with the way Jesus thinks.
Jesus lived His like to “seek and to save that which is lost” (), as Americans we like to” seek and to save and not lose anything”.
We want the nice house, the nice car, etc.
Clearly Jesus told us not to store up treasure here on the earth ()
When we seek first His Kingdom and His Righteousness, He will give to us all the things that are NEEDED. He will bless us with many things, but our hearts need to remain focused on Him and His mission.
When’s the last time we had a prayer meeting with our children? Or extended family? Or with Church Family?
When’s the last time we had a Bible Study with our family about the direction Jesus wants the family to go?
Ephesians 4:11–15 NKJV
And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ—
Ephesians
Paul said the goal is to be like Jesus, IN ALL THINGS. His Character and His Power.
Jesus prayed.
Mark 1:35 NKJV
Now in the morning, having risen a long while before daylight, He went out and departed to a solitary place; and there He prayed.
This is something I strive to partake of because it’s quite and I can spend some time with just me and Jesus before I head out the door into the craziness of the world.
I present myself in the best way possible as before my King. Get ready for the day and give Him my undivided attention as I would want His.
His Disciples watched Him pray and asked Him:
Jesus fasted.
Luke 11:1 NKJV
Now it came to pass, as He was praying in a certain place, when He ceased, that one of His disciples said to Him, “Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.”
Jesus fasted.
Jesus fasted.
Matthew
Matthew 4:1–2 NKJV
Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. And when He had fasted forty days and forty nights, afterward He was hungry.
John 4:28–34 NKJV
The woman then left her waterpot, went her way into the city, and said to the men, “Come, see a Man who told me all things that I ever did. Could this be the Christ?” Then they went out of the city and came to Him. In the meantime His disciples urged Him, saying, “Rabbi, eat.” But He said to them, “I have food to eat of which you do not know.” Therefore the disciples said to one another, “Has anyone brought Him anything to eat?” Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work.
John 4:
Jesus knew and taught The Word of God
Mark 1:35–38 NKJV
Now in the morning, having risen a long while before daylight, He went out and departed to a solitary place; and there He prayed. And Simon and those who were with Him searched for Him. When they found Him, they said to Him, “Everyone is looking for You.” But He said to them, “Let us go into the next towns, that I may preach there also, because for this purpose I have come forth.”
We grow by The Word of God, especially as new disciples
1 Peter 2:2 NKJV
as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby,
These are the basic teachings concerning our new lives in Jesus Christ once we have been Born Again.
Eventually we should be on to meatier matters such as bearing spiritual fruit.
These were the practical disciplines by which Jesus kept His Humanity in submission and in tune with His Divinity.
These were the practical disciplines by which Jesus kept His Humanity in submission and in tune with His Divinity.
We raise and train our disciples by teaching them, practicing with them, and then allowing then to do it independently (, , ).
Luke 11:1 NKJV
Now it came to pass, as He was praying in a certain place, when He ceased, that one of His disciples said to Him, “Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.”
We raise and train our disciples by teaching them, practicing with them, and then allowing then to do it independently (, , ).
This also how we train up our children into being disciples of The Lord Jesus.

Power Like Jesus

Matthew 10:1 NKJV
And when He had called His twelve disciples to Him, He gave them power over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease.
Jesus gave His disciples power of demons and power to heal.
In the greek understanding of demons, from the greek language, they were sometimes also called gods.
So Jesus gave us power over all the other “gods” of the earth.
Remember Jesus extended this power to all His disciples.
Mark 16:15–17 NKJV
And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues;
Mark 16:15–16 NKJV
And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.
Jesus expected His Disciples to make disciples who would live as Jesus did and live with that same power on display.
Matthew 28
Matthew 28:18–20 NKJV
And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.
We see all these elements present in the Book of Acts Church
Acts 1:8 NKJV
But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
Acts 1:13–14 NKJV
And when they had entered, they went up into the upper room where they were staying: Peter, James, John, and Andrew; Philip and Thomas; Bartholomew and Matthew; James the son of Alphaeus and Simon the Zealot; and Judas the son of James. These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with His brothers.
Acts 1:13
A
Acts 2:1–6 NKJV
When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. And there were dwelling in Jerusalem Jews, devout men, from every nation under heaven. And when this sound occurred, the multitude came together, and were confused, because everyone heard them speak in his own language.
Acts 2:
Acts 2:40–43 NKJV
And with many other words he testified and exhorted them, saying, “Be saved from this perverse generation.” Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them. And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers. Then fear came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles.
Chapter 3 contains the story of the Lame Man being healed.
Chapter 4 contains the story of the beginnings of persecution and the Church praying together for strength.
In Chapter 6 we see what the priority was for The Apostles for the growth of The Church and what the outcome was for those who diligently put these disciplines into practice.
This was about 10 years after the birth of The Church.
Acts
Acts 6:1–4 NKJV
Now in those days, when the number of the disciples was multiplying, there arose a complaint against the Hebrews by the Hellenists, because their widows were neglected in the daily distribution. Then the twelve summoned the multitude of the disciples and said, “It is not desirable that we should leave the word of God and serve tables. Therefore, brethren, seek out from among you seven men of good reputation, full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business; but we will give ourselves continually to prayer and to the ministry of the word.”
Acts 6:8–10 NKJV
And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and signs among the people. Then there arose some from what is called the Synagogue of the Freedmen (Cyrenians, Alexandrians, and those from Cilicia and Asia), disputing with Stephen. And they were not able to resist the wisdom and the Spirit by which he spoke.
Acts 6
Stephen a deacon, was FULL of FAITH and POWER.
In , it was The Saints who took the Gospel out of Jerusalem, not the leadership.
Acts 8:
Acts 8:1–4 NKJV
Now Saul was consenting to his death. At that time a great persecution arose against the church which was at Jerusalem; and they were all scattered throughout the regions of Judea and Samaria, except the apostles. And devout men carried Stephen to his burial, and made great lamentation over him. As for Saul, he made havoc of the church, entering every house, and dragging off men and women, committing them to prison. Therefore those who were scattered went everywhere preaching the word.
Philip, another deacon, was also used of Jesus in POWER.
I wonder what his lifestyle and disciplines were?
Acts 8:5–7 NKJV
Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria and preached Christ to them. And the multitudes with one accord heeded the things spoken by Philip, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did. For unclean spirits, crying with a loud voice, came out of many who were possessed; and many who were paralyzed and lame were healed.
Acts 8:5-7
Acts 8:11–12 NKJV
And they heeded him because he had astonished them with his sorceries for a long time. But when they believed Philip as he preached the things concerning the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, both men and women were baptized.
He cast out unclean spirits, healed the lame, baptized people in Jesus’ Name.
But He also remained connected and submitted to leadership.
Acts 8:14–17 NKJV
Now when the apostles who were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent Peter and John to them, who, when they had come down, prayed for them that they might receive the Holy Spirit. For as yet He had fallen upon none of them. They had only been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. Then they laid hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit.

Pulling It All Together

Ephesians 2:1–6 NKJV
And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience, among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others. But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,
Ephesians 6:
Jesus has raised us up to “heavenly places”, a way of speaking of the spiritual realm that fleshly eyes can’t see, but spiritual eyes can discern if we’re sensitive enough.
It’s through The Church that God desires to display His wisdom to those who rebelled.
Ephesians 3:10 NKJV
to the intent that now the manifold wisdom of God might be made known by the church to the principalities and powers in the heavenly places,
There are principalities, powers, thrones, dominions that keep guard over our neighborhoods, towns, cities, nations, and satan over this whole world.
These spiritual beings come at us in various ways.
1 Corinthians 10:14–21 NKJV
Therefore, my beloved, flee from idolatry. I speak as to wise men; judge for yourselves what I say. The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ? For we, though many, are one bread and one body; for we all partake of that one bread. Observe Israel after the flesh: Are not those who eat of the sacrifices partakers of the altar? What am I saying then? That an idol is anything, or what is offered to idols is anything? Rather, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice they sacrifice to demons and not to God, and I do not want you to have fellowship with demons. You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons; you cannot partake of the Lord’s table and of the table of demons.
1 Corinthians 10:
They inspire idol worship
1 Timothy
1 Timothy 4:1 NKJV
Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons,
Demons, the gods of this age, inspire various teachings that are contrary to what our Creator says.
Galatians 1:6–9 NKJV
I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed.
Galatians
They desire to, and in many Churches have, pervert the Gospel.
They work through mediums, psychics, tv, anyone they can.
When we are talking with people and they seem reluctant to come from out of own beliefs, it is a fortress, a stronghold that has been set up one way or another that the adversary is hiding behind.
Leviticus 19:31 NKJV
‘Give no regard to mediums and familiar spirits; do not seek after them, to be defiled by them: I am the Lord your God.
They run governments and countries
Revelation 12:3 NKJV
And another sign appeared in heaven: behold, a great, fiery red dragon having seven heads and ten horns, and seven diadems on his heads.
Revelation 12:3
Revelation 12:9 NKJV
So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
Revelation
Revelation 13:1–4 NKJV
Then I stood on the sand of the sea. And I saw a beast rising up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten crowns, and on his heads a blasphemous name. Now the beast which I saw was like a leopard, his feet were like the feet of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion. The dragon gave him his power, his throne, and great authority. And I saw one of his heads as if it had been mortally wounded, and his deadly wound was healed. And all the world marveled and followed the beast. So they worshiped the dragon who gave authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?”
Revelation 13:1-
When we are talking with people and they seem reluctant to come from out of own beliefs, it is a fortress, a stronghold that has been set up one way or another in their lives that the adversary is hiding behind.
When we are talking with people and they seem reluctant to come from out of own beliefs, it is a fortress, a stronghold that has been set up one way or another that the adversary is hiding behind.
But here’s what The Presence of Jesus should always remind us.
Colossians 1:12-18
Colossians 1:12–18 NKJV
giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light. He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins. He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence.
Ephesians 6:10–20 NKJV
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints—and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.
Breakdown the Armor of G-d
By knowing and sharing The Word of G-d with others, we are planting seeds of thought that Jesus can go back later and water and cultivate.
Through prayer and fasting we can intercede for others, literally fight against the spirits that want to keep our friends and family bound in their unbelief, their hurts, their sins, etc.
Through fasting, we bring our flesh into subjection to our spirit, which is strengthened by The Spirit of G-d
We can grow into the place and Power in which Jesus, The Apostles, and early disciples lived in.
We are living in a society where people need the children of G-d to get serious about the fight.
Start today, fight “The Good Fight of Faith” for your family, your friends, coworkers, supervisors.
Let us fight together in one accord, one passion, people need to know that Jesus is real and that’s not going to happen trying to live out The American Dream!
