Transition: As we read and study this portion of God’s word we may be tempted to think it is full of super spiritualism, or an attitude of arrogance.
For example, we read in verses 44-46.
However, when we read all the way thru we will see that he is not over elevating his delight in God’s law, he is not full of self righteous religious fanaticism.
Rather, we find that after 175 verse of declaring the awesome word of God he says in the last verse “I have gone astray like a lost sheep; seek your servant, for I do not forget your commandments.”
What we find in this Psalm is one who has been humbled before God’s awesome Word.
One who delights in his duty to obey God’s word because he has submitted to the Author of the word.
Why can we sing Aleph?
How can we pray tis psalm with an authentic heart, with diligent devotion, with consistent integrity?
How can we obey God’s word diligently and happily?
How does Aleph enable us to cross the canyon?
Because obedience to God’s word is the only way to experience true blessing.
This point causes us to consider the question, “What role does the law of God have in the life of a Christian?
Walk thru the Biblical role of the law.
Positional blessing does not remove practical blessing.
Our justification with out words of the law does not remove our need to obey the moral law of God.
Explain…
Because in Christ we have the strength to obey with whole hearted devotion.
