You Belong Here - Part 2

Kidz World Today - Children’s Church
Luke 15:1–2 NLT
1 Tax collectors and other notorious sinners often came to listen to Jesus teach. 2 This made the Pharisees and teachers of religious law complain that he was associating with such sinful people—even eating with them!
Confession of Faith
I am not moved by what I see or by what I feel. I am moved by what I believe. I believe the WORD of God! The victory is mine! I have it now! I can see it through the eyes of my faith!
Introduction:
Luke 15
is one of the most important chapters in all the Bible. It includes three of the most famous parables ever told. The parables deal with the lost and the great love of God in seeking and receiving the lost sinner when the sinner repents and returns home.
Luke 15:4–7 NLT
4 “If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them gets lost, what will he do? Won’t he leave the ninety-nine others in the wilderness and go to search for the one that is lost until he finds it? 5 And when he has found it, he will joyfully carry it home on his shoulders. 6 When he arrives, he will call together his friends and neighbors, saying, ‘Rejoice with me because I have found my lost sheep.’ 7 In the same way, there is more joy in heaven over one lost sinner who repents and returns to God than over ninety-nine others who are righteous and haven’t strayed away!
How Does A Person Get Lost?
A Person loses his or herself in one of 5 different ways:
1. The person is attracted by something out "in the wilderness” It is usually away from the flock - the family, even close friends and if they have been in church - away from the of the Shepherd.
What the person sees is more attractive and appealing. That thing will tempt and seduces person, and they will lusts after it
1 John 2:16 NLT
16 For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world.
1 John 2:16 NKJV
16 For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world.
2. The person is aimless, and not paying attention to what is going on! We aimlessly wanders off, and while we are getting lost, we do not know we are losing are way. Many times we are lost when we discover we are lost.
1 John 2:16 The Message
16 Practically everything that goes on in the world—wanting your own way, wanting everything for yourself, wanting to appear important—has nothing to do with the Father. It just isolates you from him.
3. We refuses to listen to the warnings of the shepherd or other people!
1 John 2:16 AMP
16 For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh [craving for sensual gratification] and the lust of the eyes [greedy longings of the mind] and the pride of life [assurance in one’s own resources or in the stability of earthly things]—these do not come from the Father but are from the world [itself].
4. We are not attached to other people!
There is not the bond or union there should be. Therefore, we stay off by ourselves, eating and resting and working alone until eventually we wanders off without anyone knowing it, including ourselves
Hebrews 10:25 NLT
25 And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.
5. We don’t trust the Pastor or the Church
Proverbs 21:16 NLT
16 The person who strays from common sense will end up in the company of the dead.
Looking For The Lost
Luke 15:4 NLT
4 “If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them gets lost, what will he do? Won’t he leave the ninety-nine others in the wilderness and go to search for the one that is lost until he finds it?
People must be sought until they can be found The search must be urgent. The shepherd went after that which was lost
Luke 15:6 NKJV
6 And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and neighbors, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost!’
Luke 15:6 NLT
6 When he arrives, he will call together his friends and neighbors, saying, ‘Rejoice with me because I have found my lost sheep.’
God You Thought I Was Worth Dying For
You thought I was worth saving So you came and changed my life
You thought I was worth keeping So you cleaned me up inside
You thought I was to die for So you sacrificed your life
So I could be free So I could be whole So I could tell everyone I know
We Must Keep Looking For The Lost
