leaves from the wedding without consummating the relationship
wife given to his best man

Samson’s Rejection

V 1 goes back to claim his bride
V 2 shes not yours anymore
God cannot use Samson if he is assimilated into the enemy culture
See the events unfold. who is doing the orchestrating?
V 3 I do evil I without blame
every thing Samson does is for Samson
Sam sees just circumstances in life
Samson avenging himself
30 garments
300 foxes
1000 soldiers
the battle against the Philistines is not for God, but..
How much “ministry” is done for personal reasons
How much credit do we take, opposed to Given to God
V 6-8 father in law killed

Samson’s Countrymen

V 9-13
they were so defeated the only army was against Sam
they knew their place
were content with the status quo
God’s people going against the one “separated”
How often are we the countrymen going after the Men of God
or so defeated that we don’t open our mouth for Jesus

Samson Kills a Thousand

V 14-15
The Spirit came upon him
just happened to be a fresh jawbone of a donkey
up against soldiers with weopons
the Sword of the Spirit, The Word of God will defeat the enemy
We see God’s hand in the life of Sanson
Be Available 2. Samson Defends Himself (Jdg. 15:9–20)

James Moffatt renders it: “With the jawbone of an ass I have piled them in a mass. With the jawbone of an ass I have assailed assailants.”3

Again Sam gives credit to himself look what I did

Samson's Prayer

Now Sam gives credit to God, in private
not respectful
as if God is secondary to Samson
God split the rock and brought out water
He named the well “Caller Springs” again gave credit to himself

God’s Grace

God’s Grace

God used in spite of Samson's attitude
God
Grace Undeserved, Unearned, Unmerited gifts From God
we are saved by Grace
our ministry is by Grace
our life in Christ is by Grace
Thank God today for His Grace in spite of ourselves

God’s testing

Samson reminded of his frailty
mountain top experiences are not very lasting
we need reminding that we are not the center
we need God’s grace in our lives
Conclusion
Give God the Glory
Triumph is followed by trials
Trials remind us who we are and Who God is
Thank God for loving us enough to send us t & t
