*Live It*

EX:  Learning to memorize Scripture in college—tough to do and recall, but the abundant peace that comes from knowing His Word is worth it.
Most of us have moments in life when we wonder or even struggle with what benefit is it for me to live my life the way God wants.
If I could do my own thing, then I could escape problems or challenges or trials.
Sometimes we even think the Christian life should be free of any struggles or tough challenges.
Today we look at God’s Word for some encouragement and direction.
He will help us *LIVE IT*.

*Hebrews 5:8-9*
-“He was a Son” – a special relationship—the only begotten Son
*John 3:16*—His only begotten Son was given in love
-this relationship did not exempt Him from obedience or suffering
-our adoption as children does not exempt us from life’s hardships
“He learned obedience” – willing to be used by His Father
“learn” = by practice; requires effort
“obedience” = compliance; submission; shown in observing
            requirements of Christianity
*-To Obey God Is To Trust God*
“things which He suffered” – the agony of the cross
“suffer” = to FEEL the hardship
-Christ suffered like no other human ever will—by His own desire
-He experienced ultimate suffering dying for all sin of all kind
-was obedient His whole earthly life, but even more so in His death
“having been made perfect” = complete; finish; fulfill
-His suffering by His obedience makes Him source of eternal life
“He became to all those who obey Him”
     *Two Parts:*
*            1.
Obedience to accept Him by faith*
*Ephesians 2:8-9*—by grace are you saved thru faith—gift
-salvation is acquired by grace through faith
            *2.
Obedience to LIVE for Him*
*Mark **8:34**-35*-to follow Him we deny self & take up cross
                 -learning by things we suffer
-that is the hard way—easier to follow His Word as is
*Philippians 2:8-*became obedient to point of death on cross
“source” = author; that which is the cause of anything
“of eternal salvation” --future salvation, the sum of benefits and
blessings which the Christians, redeemed from all earthly ills,
will enjoy after the visible return of Christ from heaven in the
consummated and eternal kingdom of God

*The KEY for LIVING IT:*
*   Obeying God brings earthly and eternal benefits.*
-it is an investment that pays BIG dividends here and there
-*ONLY proof of obedience is in how we LIVE*.
If you want to experience all that God has in store for you, then you must be willing to live in obedience to Him in EVERY area of your life.
*LIVE IT.*
It can’t be about you; it must be about Him completely!

*Ephesians 3:20-21*
