I Am A Church Member - Part 5
Kidz World Today - Children’s Church
1 Corinthians 12:27 NKJV
27 Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually.
Confession of Faith
I am not moved by what I see or by what I feel. I am moved by what I believe. I believe the WORD of God! The victory is mine! I have it now! I can see it through the eyes of my faith!
Biblical church membership is about being functional, sacrificing, giving, and forgiving to meet the needs of others!
Loving Your Church!
Matthew 7:3–5 NLT
3 “And why worry about a speck in your friend’s eye when you have a log in your own? 4 How can you think of saying to your friend, ‘Let me help you get rid of that speck in your eye,’ when you can’t see past the log in your own eye? 5 Hypocrite! First get rid of the log in your own eye; then you will see well enough to deal with the speck in your friend’s eye.
Gotta Love Your Church
Church and Family
Rainer, Thom S.. I Am a Church Member: Discovering the Attitude that Makes the Difference (p. 58). B&H Publishing Group. Kindle Edition.
Ephesians 5:22–26 NLT
22 For wives, this means submit to your husbands as to the Lord. 23 For a husband is the head of his wife as Christ is the head of the church. He is the Savior of his body, the church. 24 As the church submits to Christ, so you wives should submit to your husbands in everything. 25 For husbands, this means love your wives, just as Christ loved the church. He gave up his life for her 26 to make her holy and clean, washed by the cleansing of God’s word.
Ephesians 5:32–33 NLT
32 This is a great mystery, but it is an illustration of the way Christ and the church are one. 33 So again I say, each man must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.
Ephesians 6:1–4 NLT
1 Children, obey your parents because you belong to the Lord, for this is the right thing to do. 2 “Honor your father and mother.” This is the first commandment with a promise: 3 If you honor your father and mother, “things will go well for you, and you will have a long life on the earth.” 4 Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger by the way you treat them. Rather, bring them up with the discipline and instruction that comes from the Lord.
The Bible remind us that, we are supposed to sacrifice and love our families unconditionally, so we must love the church where God has placed us. Our family members are not perfect, and neither are the members of the church.
Pray as a Family for your Church!
For spiritual protection. For protection from moral failure. For the preaching of the Word. For their families. For encouragement. For physical strength. For courage. For discernment. For wisdom in their leadership.

Church Membership is a Gift

Church membership - It’s the biblical option that sees membership as a gift, something to be treasured. Membership means we have the opportunity to serve and give rather than the legalistic option to do so.
Remember:
Romans 3:23 NKJV
23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

Romans 6:23 NLT
23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.
Roma= 6:23
2 Corinthians 5:21 NLT
21 For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.
Acts 3:19 NLT
19 Now repent of your sins and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped away.
Ephesians 2:8–9 NLT
8 God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. 9 Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it.
Eph 2
1 Corinthians 12:27–28 NKJV
27 Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually. 28 And God has appointed these in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, varieties of tongues.
1 Cor 12:27-28
Do you see what’s taking place? You received a gift, the free gift of eternal salvation. It includes forgiveness of sins by Christ’s death on the cross. It includes adoption by God the Father.
It includes the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. And it includes becoming a part of the body of Christ.
Rainer, Thom S.. I Am a Church Member: Discovering the Attitude that Makes the Difference (p. 71). B&H Publishing Group. Kindle Edition.
That’s right: membership in the body of Christ, the church, is gift from God.
Biblical church membership means you find your joy in being last, instead of seeking your way and being first.
Rainer, Thom S.. I Am a Church Member: Discovering the Attitude that Makes the Difference (p. 71). B&H Publishing Group. Kindle Edition.
I am a church member.
This membership is a gift.
When I received the free gift of salvation through Jesus Christ, I became a part of the body of Christ.
And now I am humbled and honored to serve and to love others in our church.
the free gift of salvation through Jesus Christ, I became a part of the body of Christ. I soon thereafter identified with a local body and was baptized. And now I am humbled and honored to serve and to love others in our church.
