            The frowsy-looking housewife, hair in rollers, wearing a faded bathrobe and sloppy slippers, appeared at the door early one morning and called out to the garbage man, “Yoo-hoo:  Am I too late for the garbage?”.

            “No ma’am,” called back the garbage man politely.  “Jump right in.”
