The Bible is God’s written revelation of Himself to humanity. The Scriptures of the Old and New testaments contain the inerrant & infallible truth about who God is, and what He has done. The Scriptures have been breathed out by God the Holy Spirit through prophets and apostles who have recorded the very Words of God. The entire Bible is a theology book because it helps us to know what God is like and how we should relate to Him.
Today, we are going to wrap up our study of II Thessalonians by doing a summery of the Theology of Thessalonians. Basically, we are looking over this second letter and asking the question, “What has the letter revealed to us about God?”. What we will soon find is that in answering that question we will also find answers to, “how should we relate to Him?”.
Transition: Today we will focus on God the Father while we also recognize that God the Son and God the Holy Spirit are always working in unison together as three persons in one God.

God

God the Father : Working notes… Describe the Biblical concept of Father and then point out the immediate impact that has on how we relate to God. Especially in being a part of the church and prayer. Answering the question how can we be (in) God our Father? see 2:13-16 (also emphasizing His grace and love 1:3;12, 3:5 b ), and approaching God with thanksgiving? see 1:3,
