The Parable of the lost sheep shows the condition of people.
People, like sheep have a tendency to wander off.
Not being close to Jesus causes dumbness in your life.
Sheep are the dumbest animals on the planet, and Jesus continually refers to us as sheep.
Why?
Because we act like them.
We always seem to do stupid stuff.
We hear God tell us to:
put off gossip, but we still do it.
to Live pure lives, but we still have moral failures.
to give each ohter the benefit of the doubt because we love each other, but we don’t.
We will pray for God to bless us and when he does, we forget all about God and we fall away.
Not being close to Jesus causes a dirtiness in your life.
When you don’t live for the Lord, you will feel dirty.
When I came to Jesus, I felt clean.
Not being close to Jesus causes you to become defenseless.
Sheep rely totally on the shepherd for defense from predators.
We must rely on our shepherd.
If we do not, we are defenseless against our carnal nature & temptation.
Not being close to Jesus exposes you to danger.
Sin not only separates us from God, but it endangers you and those around you.

The Good Shepherd cares for all sheep.
The Pharisees did not care for the sheep… Jesus cares for the sheep… you and me.
The Lod wants to take care of our emotional mental, physical, social and spiritual needs.
The Good Shepherd searches for lost sheep.
Jesus is on a search for people who have lost their way.

The Good shepherd rescues sheep who are in danger.
Any sheep who strays away from the shepherd is in danger to the wold animals.
When the Lord Rescues us, He saves us.
He saves us from spiritual depravity, death and doom.
He saves us for a supernatural destiny.
The Parable of the lost sheep shows us the commission of the Saints.
The Lord has called all Believers to rescue lost sheep
We can help rescue sheep by Praying for them.
We can help rescue sheep by living a godly life in front of them.
We can help rescue sheep by inviting them to church, or other church activity.
We can help rescue sheep by serving them through church ministry.
We can help rescue sheep by sharing our faith and relationship with Jesus with them.
Many Christians don’t share their faith with others because they are afraid.

Many Christians don’t share their faith with others because they have a hard heart.
