The writer occupied himself daily with God’s word. The language speaks of a saturation.
When you study the bible, you will find out there is so much love in it.
Though out the bible we fin wisdom. It tells us how to deal with all kinds of issues in life.
It tells us how to make our marriages work. How to raise our kids. How to truly be successful.
How to face tragedy. How to live forever.
The bible has some hard sayings.
Some complicated sayings.
Many very simple sayings.
Throughout we find: Knowledge, understanding, and wisdom.
Psalm 119:8

98 Thou through thy commandments hast made me wiser than mine enemies: For they are ever with me.

David/Saul
David killed Goliath; Saul put David over men of war. Things went so well for David, Saul becomes jealous. He tries to kill David. But David used wisdom.

If we keep God;s (guard) it will show us where to walk, keep is from evil, and direct us in the right way.
We don’t want to walk near the edge of danger.

He choose to stay close to God’s ordinances.

What kind of lessons do we learn from the Lord?

God’s word had become his pleasure; his sure delight, Obedience to God’s word brings into life a special joy. Honey was the sweetest thing he had tasted.
