2 Samuel 12:23 ESV
23 But now he is dead. Why should I fast? Can I bring him back again? I shall go to him, but he will not return to me.”

If The God of the Bible is wise ...
If The God of the Bible is Holy...
If The God of the Bible is all powerful...
All of this evil in the world therefore the God of the Bible does not exist.
All of this evil in the world
Why is there all this violence
Why is there all of this senseless killing
Why is there all of these rapes
Why is it that this young boy in the Spring of His life hasn't even begin living yet, sitting in his home minding his own business playing His game and reading His bible be gunned down.
Why is there all this hurt and pain
Because God allows it
Sure there is a real devil
In a real world
And man has a real free will
God whispers to us in our joys, speaks to us in our difficulties and shouts to us in our pain. C.S. Lewis
God has a way of speaking to us in our pain in a way that He can’t in the mist of our joy.
God has a purpose for our pain, God uses our pain to to em better us

16 David therefore sought God on behalf of the child. And David fasted and went in and lay all night on the ground.

18 On the seventh day the child died. And the servants of David were afraid to tell him that the child was dead, for they said, “Behold, while the child was yet alive, we spoke to him, and he did not listen to us. How then can we say to him the child is dead? He may do himself some harm.”
David loves His baby, He is seeking God for the embitterment of His child but the child dies

David shows us what we are to do when we don’t know what to do

Allow God to “Pick You Up “

verse 20 Then David “AROSE” Emerged from the earth ...
In your time of grief and pain, in your time of trying to figure out life and trying to wrap your mind around what just happened.
You must “Allow” God to get you up in your own strength you don't want to go another day in your own strength you can’t make it
But Im so glad that the book says

10 For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
Philippians 4:13 ESV
13 I can do all things through him who strengthens me.
Second thing David shows us what to do when we don't know what to do
