Faith that Glorifies God is Compelling

Faith in Christ compelled these men to take extreme measures

James 1:22 NASB95
But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not merely hearers who delude themselves.
James
Faith requires action on our part
Both Peter in and Paul in describe themselves as bond-servants (doulos) of Christ

More than a believer, more than a fan, more than a follower,a servant

No servant was ever expected to simply sit back and enjoy the benefits of their Master’s riches but to work to be certain that their master was always seen in the best possible light
As servants of Christ, our faith should compel us to action that others may encounter His life-changing power.

Faith that Glorifies God is Conscious

Faith that glorifies God has its roots in a conscious understanding of Jesus real identity.

These men who brought the paralytic to Christ made a conscious choice to act upon their belief

What we believe about Jesus will determine what we do about Him!

The scribes couldn’t comprehend that Jesus is God

They were not conscious of the fact that healing this man was simple

Jesus’ power was demonstrated in the fact that He chose to forgive the man for his sins rather than immediately healing him of his infirmity
Man is quick to focus on the physical but unwilling to recognize the depth of spiritual need

The friends were not upset at Jesus’ offer of forgiveness, the man was not upset at Jesus’ offer of forgiveness, the religious people were upset

Faith that glorifies God is Contagious

The crowds were awestruck!

When is the last time that the people around you were awestruck because of how God used you?

When your faith is glorifying God other people will be affected by it.
