In Mark 14 and 15 describes the betrayal, arrest, trial, and crucifixion of Jesus, commonly know as the passion (from the latin word for "suffer"). The theme of Mark 14, the lowest chapter in Mark, is the abandonment of Jesus. But the chapter opens with two stories; one of faith, one of treachery.
