The Psalms are all about praising God’s greatness and why He is worthy of our Worship! -
- we should daily and forever praise God’s greatness.
Psalm 146:2 ESV
I will praise the Lord as long as I live; I will sing praises to my God while I have my being.
Psalm 145:1 NIV
I will exalt you, my God the King; I will praise your name for ever and ever.
; 146:2 - Our praise to God must go beyond Sunday morning to every day we live.
Psalm 145:2 NIV
Every day I will praise you and extol your name for ever and ever.
Psalm 146:2 NIV
I will praise the Lord all my life; I will sing praise to my God as long as I live.
- God is worthy of our praise and His greatness demands it.
Psalm 145:3 NIV
Great is the Lord and most worthy of praise; his greatness no one can fathom.
Praising God’s greatness should be a daily experience because we daily experience His greatness.
- Our praise should come from a heart that is wrapped up in who God is!
Psalm 111:1–2 NIV
Praise the Lord. I will extol the Lord with all my heart in the council of the upright and in the assembly. Great are the works of the Lord; they are pondered by all who delight in them.
True praise comes from recognizing and being excited about what God is doing.

PRAISING GOD EVERYDAY IS A CELEBRATION OF WHO HE IS!

PRAISING GOD EVERYDAY IS MORE ABOUT CELEBRATION THAT OBLIGATION!
- God’s people joyfully celebrate God’s “abundant goodness.”
Psalm 145:7 NIV
They celebrate your abundant goodness and joyfully sing of your righteousness.
Psalm 145:7-8
THERE IS SO MUCH TO CELEBRATE ABOUT WHO GOD IS AND WHAT HE HAS DONE!
- He is “gracious,” “compassionate,” “slow to anger,” “rich in love.”
Psalm 145:8 NIV
The Lord is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love.
- He has done “mighty acts,” “wonderful works,” “awesome deeds,”
HOW CAN WE HAVE AN ATTITUDE OF CELEBRATION OF GOD?
Know that it is not a bad thing to be emotional and even excited about who God is.
Know that it is a good thing to talk about how God has worked in your life.
Know that your sincere celebration of God will influence others. -

PRAISING GOD EVERYDAY IS WHAT YOU SAY NOT JUST WHAT YOU SING

WE SHOULD PRAISE GOD NOT ONLY IN SONG BUT IN EVERYDAY SPEECH. -
- God’s people “commend,” “tell,” “speak,” and “proclaim” God’s works.
Psalm 145:4–6 NIV
One generation commends your works to another; they tell of your mighty acts. They speak of the glorious splendor of your majesty— and I will meditate on your wonderful works. They tell of the power of your awesome works— and I will proclaim your great deeds.
WE HAVE TO THINK ABOUT WHAT GOD HAS DONE AND IS DOING TO BE ABLE TO TALK ABOUT HIM!
Why do we not talk about God’s greatness in our everyday more than we do? God’s works and God’s people should praise God. - ;
Psalm 145:10 NIV
All your works praise you, Lord; your faithful people extol you.
- We should be able to say, “I will meditate on your wonderful works.”
JUST BECAUSE GOD IS WORKING IN OUR LIVES DAILY DOESN’T MEAN WE RECOGNIZE IT.
- God works in everyone’s life, even those who do not see it as Him!
Acts 14:16–17 ESV
In past generations he allowed all the nations to walk in their own ways. Yet he did not leave himself without witness, for he did good by giving you rains from heaven and fruitful seasons, satisfying your hearts with food and gladness.”
- God provides all things that are needed

PRAISING GOD EVERYDAY LEADS TO CHANGING THE NEXT GENERATION AND THE WORLD

THE MOST POWERFUL IMPACT OF OUR PRAISING GOD IN OUR DAILY LIVES IS THAT IT INFLUENCES OUR CHILDREN AND THE WORLD WE LIVE IN. -
- “One generation commends your works to another.”
Psalm 145:4 ESV
One generation shall commend your works to another, and shall declare your mighty acts.
What if we talk about how awesome it is to be a child of God so that our children would want to follow Him not just out of fear of going against God but out of not wanting to live without Him!
GOD INTENDED HIS TRUTH TO BE SPREAD BY THE MULTITUDE OF HIS FOLLOWERS. - Psalm 145:10-13
-God’s people tell so that all people can know
Psalm 145:10–13 ESV
All your works shall give thanks to you, O Lord, and all your saints shall bless you! They shall speak of the glory of your kingdom and tell of your power, to make known to the children of man your mighty deeds, and the glorious splendor of your kingdom. Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures throughout all generations. The Lord is faithful in all his words and kind in all his works.
HOW CAN WE MAKE PRAISING AND PROCLAIMING GOD’S GOODNESS A CONSISTENT PART OF OUR DAILY ACTIVITY?
Think about Him! - - Thinking about Him leads to talking about Him.
Look for Him! - The more we see His work the more we will have to praise.
Sing to Him! - Songs remind us of who God is and what He has done in our lives.
Thank Him! - - Giving thanks trains us to see God’s goodness.
Talk about Him! - Freely talk about how God is answering, teaching, helping and changing you!
FAMILY PRAISE CHALLENGE: DURING THE LAST MEAL OF THE DAY TALK ABOUT TWO THINGS THAT YOU WANT TO THANK OR PRAISE GOD FOR THAT HAPPENED THAT DAY.
