What are you looking for? For the prodigal son, he was looking for a great many things, to do things himself and his own way. He was looking for the answers and understanding. What he really longed for in the end was a way home. Have you ever felt that way, like I got this all figured out and then one day it all falls apart and you just want to know how to come home again? I have definitely been there, especially with God. I have tried it all on my own before and let me tell you it never works out well. Conclusion:
What are you looking for? Jesus is the way home. Do you want peace, do you want to be loved and do you want to belong, then Jesus is the way. We can search and search and never find what we want. All we will find in the world is heartache, shame, guilt and pain. But Christ is the answer to every question. So when we are lost and have gone astray, when we have looked and looked and cannot find the answer. Then we know, we can humble ourselves and always come home. For Christ is always waiting for the prodigal, He is waiting with the robe and the sandals. And let me tell you, when He sees you, He comes a runnin, just running for you because He will always love you and bless you when you come home.
