Jesus is the true Light of the World, the true means of salvation, spiritual life, wisdom and knowledge.
There is no true relationship with God the Father according to his Word outside of having a true relationship with the Living Word Jesus Christ.
Everyone else or everything else is living in Spiritual Darkness.
In the seven I AM statements that Jesus makes in the Gospel of John, I am the light of the world is the second made here in Chapter 8 and again in Chapter 9.
Here light has to do with spiritual insight, knowledge, wisdom, and that results from the spiritually renewed life that comes through relationship with Jesus.

Some people will always stay out on the peripheral of having a true relationship with Jesus, and they will cloak it with Religion.
The reason is because the deeds of their heart are evil and they don’t want their hearts to be exposed.
