“And the door was shut”—.
“And the Lord shut him [Noah] in”—.
WHEN THE DOORS CLOSES
God is a God of love and patience.
But His patience only goes so far.
When God closed the door on Noah’s ark, no doubt the people prayed and cried, but it was too late.
The Bible says, “My [God] Spirit will not always strive [convict] with man”—.

Again we are told not to boast about tomorrow—.
And, those who reject God’s way shall suddenly be destroyed—.
When God speaks, you should obey—He may not speak to you again!
THE DOOR OF PRAYER
Man’s only surety of God answering prayer is now!—.
While you feel the Holy Spirit call you is the time to pray.
Note the rich man’s prayer in hell—
1. Prayer of comfort—.
He asked that Lazarus dip his finger in the water and cool his tongue.
Hell is a real place and people will be tormented there forever and ever.
2. Prayer of concern—.

He wanted to send a missionary to earth to warn his brothers that they would not come to hell.
No time on earth for God, but now he wanted God to save his brothers.
3. Prayer of compassion—.
He not only asked, but pleaded that someone warn his brothers of the awful place called hell.
People do pray in hell … but prayers in hell are not answered!
Today, the door of prayer is opened, use it!
THE DOOR OF PEACE
When God speaks, man should obey and heed His call—.
Many people have lost their souls because they refused to listen to God!
1.
The Spirit calls to repentance—.
Sorry enough to quit all sin and follow the Lord.
Unless a person repents, they cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
2. The Spirit calls to rest—.
Rest for the body; the soul, and the mind.
Notice the words of and
ISA.
26:3
3. The Spirit calls to receiving—.
Jesus came to His own people, but they did not receive Him.
But those who received Him were made Sons of God.
The door of peace is open—Tomorrow it may be closed!
Act now!
THE DOOR OF PARDON
The door of pardon is open to all people.
Yet, so many reject it, or wait till it is too late and are lost!
Paul told us, “Behold now is the day of salvation”—.
Today is your day.

1. Late and lost—.
They did not prepare for the future and were lost.
You need to be prepared at all times.
2. Loose and lost—.
Living anyway they pleased, but will be lost!
Compare with .
Those who rejected were lost.
Only eight were saved out of an estimated 137 million people.
3. Licentious and lost—Lot’s wife—.
She thought she could do what she wanted and still be saved.
The door of pardon is still open, but some day it will be closed!
There are two things which bring these doors to a close.
(1)Death.
It is too late to open these doors after death.
(2) Christ’s coming.
When He comes you will either rise, or be left behind ().
These doors are open today—tomorrow they may be closed!
