A. God is Able

i. what’s been said? God has a plan to redeem both peoples (jew & gentile) into 1 people
ii. therefore, God is able to complete his plan through us above & beyond our comprehension!

a. God’s immeasurable power is at work within us
1. God wants us to partner w/HIM to accomplish his plan to a greater level that we could even imagine

-Jesus is telling the disciples that He & the father are 1 & when u c Jesus u c the father
-so, if we believe (trust) that Jesus & the father r 1, we will do greater works that Jesus!
ii. The “greater things” is where God will do far above & beyond we can think or imagine!

-involve ur finances
* doing above and beyond isn’t about our reputation!

C. God gets the glory
Ephesians 3:21 ESV
21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
a. glory in this context:
1. last week we discussed glory as an “appearance commanding respect, magnificence, excellence”
2. here, Paul says to HIM (God) be glory: means priase
b. God’s glory in the church
1. That is, we are to praise & lift up God’s name... not our own
2. Furthermore, the Church is God’s change agent in the world!
i. God’s glory is made known when the Church steps in2 our calling as Jesus’ compassionate hands & feet in the world
c. God’s glory in Christ
1. Does this mean that Jesus praises the Father?

i. I think that God’s glory is shown by Jesus’ life, death & resurrection!
d. God’s glory in all generations
1. We R God’s change agents in the world & so we must pass on this calling to the next generation until eternity is realized
i. It is then that God’s glory is past to all generations & we praise God frm 1 gen to the next forever!
