Henry Ford, the father of the mass-produced automobile, wrote in his autobiography, “Any customer can have a car painted any colour that he wants so long as it is black.” If that was true in the early twentieth century, the choices in the early twenty-first century would probably boggle Mr. Ford’s mind.
