I have told you many times that as the pastor of the members of Unlimited “I’ve got your back”
Now I want you to really listen to what I am about to say.
Any Sunday that you walk into this place I have given the Holy Spirit the ability to move as He wishes.
That means that if the music is supposed to change or maybe even He can change the message that is being preached that morning from what was prepared.
That means that you may hear something that refers directly to you and whatever situation that you are going through.
I want you to understand and realize that is the Holy Spirit speaking to you through the message.
There may be a time that the message hits so close to home that you are convicted about something.
That is the Holy Spirit because He is the one that convicts not me.
I am here to be your pastor not your judge.
God is your judge.
I am not here to condemn you because I am not God.
So if you hear something in a message that hits close to home ask the Holy Spirit, “What are you wanting me to learn from this”? “What do you want me to do with what I have heard”?
What I don’t want you to do is close off your ears and your heart.
I want the best for each of you and the Holy Spirit is the one that knows what is best for you.
So keep your ears and heart open to the Holy Spirit to speak to you each week.
The writer put the words on paper or whatever they had to write it on but God the Holy Spirit is the author.
So always remember if you ever disagree with something in the Bible you are saying “God I disagree with you”
What I want for you is to live in liberty and freedom.
In a world were so many things are going wrong we should be able to stand with our heads held high knowing that if we are living in and through the Holy Spirit that God has it taken care of.
The problem is we have a hard time understanding that the Holy Spirit is a person.
It’s easy for us to say Jesus was a person or even that God is a person but we can have an issue understanding the fact that the Holy Spirit is too.
The Holy Spirit is part of the Trinity.
Since He is part of the Trinity that means that He is God.
There is: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit
They are 3 and 1.
They all point to the other parts of the Trinity.
So when you are speaking to the Holy Spirit you are speaking to God.
When you let the Holy Spirit pray through you then you are letting God pray through you.
Look at something here.
He didn’t say “if we don’t know what to pray for” he said “we don’t know what to pray for”.
This is the great Apostle Paul speaking.
He is putting himself into this passage.
He didn’t say “you don’t know” he said “we don’t know”
If the Apostle Paul needed God the Holy Spirit to pray through him how much more do you and I need God to pray through us?
When you read through Acts, Romans, 1 Corinthians, etc you need to remember this.
The writer put the words on paper or whatever they had to write it on but God the Holy Spirit is the author.
So always remember if you ever disagree with something in the Bible you are saying “God I disagree with you”
When we lessen who Holy Spirit is then we totally take away what God intended for us as believers.

He said that we would receive power.
The greek word used here for power is Dunamis which means Explosive like dynamite.
Why would Jesus refer to the Holy Spirit coming on you giving you explosive power if you couldn’t use it as Jesus said?
Th
Well good news, when the disciples were baptized in the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost there was a promise that was given to you and me.
So as Peter is speaking to these people he was speaking to people from “every nation under heaven”
If you have given your life to Jesus.
If you have repented of your sins the promise is for you, your children, your grandchildren.
What is the promise
John 14
acts 1:
But when we get to talking about the Promise of the Holy Spirit there is this idea among some people that there is something weird about it.
The reason that most people think this is because they saw someone weird.
Guess what they were weird already.
