Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.

YIELDED LIFE TO GOD
In the summer of 1986, two ships collided in the Black Sea off the coast of Russia. Hundreds of passengers died as they were hurled into the icy waters below. News of the disaster was further darkened when an investigation revealed the cause of the accident. It wasn't a technology problem like radar malfunction--or even thick fog. The cause was human stubbornness. Each captain was aware of the other ship's presence nearby. Both could have steered clear, but according to news reports, neither captain wanted to give way to the other. Each was too proud to yield first. By the time they came to their senses, it was too late.
THE YIELDED LIFE
I. A CHRISTIAN’S EYES SHOULD BE YIELDED

1. Yielded eyes will study the Bible; .
But his delight is in the law of the Lord;
And in his law doth he meditate day and night.
2. Yielded eyes will look to Jesus; .
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
3. Yielded eyes will look for the lost; .
Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.

1. Yielded ears are deaf to gossip; ; .
But refuse profane and old wives’ fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness.
O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called:
2. Yielded ears are open to Jesus’ Word; .
And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus’ feet, and heard his word.
3. Yielded ears are obedient to God’s message; , .
And the angel of the Lord spake unto Philip, saying, Arise, and go toward the south unto the way that goeth down from Jerusalem unto Gaza, which is desert.

1. A yielded tongue is bridled; .
If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man’s religion is vain.
2. A yielded tongue is prayerful; .

2. A yielded tongue will tell about Jesus; , .
Howbeit Jesus suffered him not, but saith unto him, Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee.
And he departed, and began to publish in Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him: and all men did marvel.

1. Yielded hands do not steal; .
Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.
2. Yielded hands will help those in need; .
2. Yielded hands will make right the wrong; .
And he took them the same hour of the night, and washed their stripes; and was baptized, he and all his, straightway.

1. Yielded feet are upon a rock; .
He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay,
And set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.
2. Yielded feet are shod with the gospel; .
2. Yielded feet will bruise Satan; .
And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.

1. A yielded heart is clean; .
Create in me a clean heart, O God;
And renew a right spirit within me.
2. A yielded heart is Christ indwelled; .
That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
3. A yielded heart will do God’s will; .
Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;

1. A yielded body is God’s workmanship; .
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
2. A yielded body is a sacrifice to God; .
3. A yielded body is the temple of the Holy Ghost; .
What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
