04_Specific Request – in four areas: the individual, the soul winner, the word of God, and the meeting.

How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth!

The Individual: Pray for them by name

· Pray that God would sanctify them; set them apart
o “…through sanctification of the Spirit…”
o “…salvation through sanctification of the Spirit…”
· Pray that God would bless them.
o “… peace be unto this house.”
o “… the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance.”
· Pray that God would convict them.
o “And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment.”
o They must be convicted of their unbelief.
· Pray that God would illuminate the mind.
o “For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the KNOWLEDGE of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.”
o Cornelius was a devout man yet he sent for Peter to come and explain the gospel to him. “While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.” [].

The Soul Winner: The Preachers & Labours

· Pray that GOD would send someone to preach the gospel.
o “Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.”
o Through persecution, “Therefore they that were scattered abroad went every where preaching the word.” .
o “And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power…” = SALVATIONS!
o Therefore, we must pray for the Lord to fill His workers with His Spirit, equipping them with power (ability and force), boldness (), wisdom (), zeal (), compassion () and divine insight (). And souls shall be saved!!!

The Word of God: The Message

· “How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?”
· The word of God is necessary
o to convict “Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart…”
o to free “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
o to save “Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God…”

Camp Meeting: Souls to be saved

· Pray that God would do a might work.
o “To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.” The future of this church is in Reidville; pray for her.
Meet out on the front of the church and pray for the community and the camp meeting.
