What we have accomplished God has done for us!
Isaiah 26:13
Isaiah 26:12 NIV
Lord, you establish peace for us; all that we have accomplished you have done for us.
We often forget just how much God works in our lives and how much helps us in our accomplishments
Scripture tells us that God works through us and in us to accomplish good things.
Philippians 2:13
Philippians 2:13 ESV
for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure.
Ephesians 2:10
Ephesians 2:10 ESV
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
1 Corinthians 12:4-6
1 Corinthians 12:4–6 ESV
Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; and there are varieties of service, but the same Lord; and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who empowers them all in everyone.
The Apostle Paul understood this about His work and accomplishments
1 Corinthians 15:10
1 Corinthians 15:10 ESV
But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace toward me was not in vain. On the contrary, I worked harder than any of them, though it was not I, but the grace of God that is with me.
We should pray for God to equip us and work through us for His purposes.
Hebrews 13:20-21
Hebrews 13:20–21 ESV
Now may the God of peace who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the eternal covenant, equip you with everything good that you may do his will, working in us that which is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.
WHY IS IT SO IMPORTANT THAT WE UNDERSTAND GOD’S INVOLVEMENT IN OUR LIVES?

WE NEED TO BELIEVE IN GOD’S WORK IN OUR LIVES OVER OUR OWN

We need to believe that God is working with us and in us as we are working.
Philippians 2:12–13 ESV
Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, so now, not only as in my presence but much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure.
Philippians 2:12-13
We need to believe that God’s work in us and through us is more important than our own.
Philippians 1:6
When we believe in God’s work we can work in faith knowing it does not all depend on us.
Ephesians 3:20

WE NEED TO BELIEVE IN GOD’S POWER OVER OUR OWN

Seeing God’s powerful work in our lives will grow our faith and our relationship with HIM.
James 1:17
James 1:17 ESV
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.
Talking about God’s power in our lives today will help us to step out in faith to be used more by HIM.
Without focusing on God’s power we can be defeated by fear.
Trusting God’s power over our own will allow us to live in the peace only God can establish for us.
Isaiah 26:12
Isaiah 26:12 ESV
O Lord, you will ordain peace for us, for you have indeed done for us all our works.

WE NEED TO LIVE FOR GOD’S PURPOSES AND GLORY OVER OUR OWN.

God’s power and work in us and through us is primary for His purposes and Glory.
Philippians 2:13
Philippians 2:13 ESV
for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure.
Hebrews 13:21
Hebrews 13:21 ESV
equip you with everything good that you may do his will, working in us that which is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.
We were created to work for God and His purposes so we can bring glory to Him!
We need to be careful that we do not try to get God to work for our purposes and glory.
We may not see God working in us if we only want Him to work for our pleasure
We will find the greatest fulfillment through allowing ourselves to be used by God for His purposes.
There is true fulfillment when we use our talents and abilities to work for God through the power of His Spirit to glory Him and point people to Christ.
