Stop Procrastinating, Time Is Running Out!
Colonel Rahl, was the commander of the British troops in Trenton, New Jersey during the American Revolutionary War. It has been said, that he was playing cards when a courier brought an urgent message stating that General George Washington was crossing the Delaware River. Colonel Rahl, put the letter in his pocket and didn’t bother to read it until the game was finished. Then, realizing the seriousness of the situation, he hurriedly tried to rally his men to meet the coming attack, but his procrastination was his undoing. He and many of his men were killed and the rest of the regiment were captured.
Nolbert Quayle said, “Only a few minutes delay cost him his life, his honor, and the liberty of his soldiers. Earth’s history is strew with the wrecks of half-finished plans and unexecuted resolutions. ‘Tomorrow is the excuse of the lazy and refuge of the incompetent.”

The countdown to the Rapture.
We Have to Stop Procrastinating!
One verse in the Bible comes to mind when taking about Procrastination,
1 Boast not thyself of to morrow; For thou knowest not what a day may bring forth.

Procrastination is defined:Putting off something intentionally and consistently either by delaying or excusing one’s self from doing whatever it is.
Some Synonyms;
1. Defer Action,
2. Use delay tactics,
3. Drug one’s feet or heels,
4. Take one’s time,
5. Play for time,
In other words, Playing the waiting game.
One of the many things we do here on earth is to Procrastinate.
We all do it; men, women, and children.
Men and children are the worst one’s who procrastinate,
If you are married, just ask your wife.
How many ladies here can say they have given their husband’s a “honey do list?”
You know a list of chores to do; such as,
Wash the Car,
Take out the Trash,
Paint the House,
Feed the Animals,
Mow the Yard,
Pick up your Clothes.
How many men can honestly say, they have been given a “honey do list?”
What do men do when they are given a list of chores?
They lose the list,
They try to put it off for as long as they can,
They develop a hearing and memory problems,
Selective Hearing, is a man’s worst enemy.
Most of us men say, “Sure Honey I’ll do it in a little bit!”
But, when you wife says, “Repeat what I just asked you to do?”
Then it’s like we devolved a case of “Alzheimer's.”
If you have children, this is how they procrastinate,
You tell them to clean your room, you get, I’ll do it later!
You tell them to take out the trash, you get, in a minute!
You ask them if they done there home work, you get, I don’t have to have it done right now!

Let me put it into words we all can relate too.
Putting the cart before the horse.
People believe that you must feel motivated in order to begin a task.
Fear of failure,
People believe that it’s easier not to try at all, then to try an fail.
Hoping the person asking will forget about it,
If I wait long enough, they will forget about it.
Perfectionism,
People trying to do things perfectly can put pressure on themselves, and it causes them to feel so stressed out that it causes them to procrastinate.
Lack of desire,
People simply procrastinate because they don’t want to do the task.
Procrastination; Is
1. easy to do,
2. easy to rationalize,
3. and tough to over come.
Mason Cooly said, “Procrastination makes easy things hard and hard things harder.”

Gloria Pitzer wrote a little poem about procrastination;
“Procrastination is my sin, it brings me naught but sorrow, I know I should stop it,
in fact I will…tomorrow.”
Procrastination, will send the unsaved to hell, and will render the saved useless witnessing to others.
Why don’t Christian witness to others?
I’m not smart enough. (Bible Knowledge)
I don’t want to make anyone mad. (Fear)
I don’t want to offend anyone with my beliefs. (Just another excuse for fear)
My friends will make fun of me. (If you have friend’s that make fun of your beliefs, then there not your friends)
None of my Christian friends do it. (Just because they don’t, doesn’t excuse you of what you know God wants you to do)
I’m not a very good Christian. ( You have some sin(s) in your life, and you need to Get Right with God)
All of my friends are Christians. (Not all Christians are Born Again)
I don’t know where to start. (Study the Word of God, give your testimony of what Jesus had done for you.)
It’s the preachers job. (It’s the job of every Born Again Christian to Witness, Jesus commissioned every born again Christian to be a witness to Him)
I’ll do it later. (in the morning, tomorrow, or next week.) (Stop Procrastinating, and do what is required of you)
Time is running out, Church!
1 Boast not thyself of to morrow; For thou knowest not what a day may bring forth.
We don’t know whats going to happen in our future.
You can make plans for your future, but you may not live to see or reach your goal.
A verse from the Bible comes to mind,
14 Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.
No one here today knows how long they will live.
This is why I said, Procrastination is the most used, most harmful, and the most effective tool that is used by the devil!
There was a turnpike that stood on a quiet country road, and especially at night, the traffic was not very busy. so the old turnpike man used to shut his gate when darkness descended on the woods and moor, and retired to bed. One night, when the rain was falling, and neither stars nor moon dispelled the blackness in which the trees and road disappeared. A horseman cautiously approached the gate, dismounted, and knocked for the turnpike keeper. “Gate! gate!” he cried. “Coming!” replied the old man. Out there in the pitiless rain and the silence and the gloom the horseman remembered his cozy home, and became impatient to be gone. So he knocked again. “Gate! gate!” he cried more impatiently. “Coming! coming!” was the reply. But still the turnpike man did not appear, and the horseman became quite angry. He opened the door, and putting in his head, demand an answer from the turnpike man. “Why do you say, Coming, coming,’ for twenty minutes, and yet you never appeared?”The old man is a sleepy voice said, “I ask your pardon, sir, but I get used to hearing ‘em knock, that I answer, Coming, coming,’ in my sleep, then I take no more notice.”
How many have become so accustomed to the sound of the gospel, that they hear without listening, and without understanding! How many have said, again and again, when they have heard god’s call, and say, “Coming!, coming!, and never meant it at all.
I know I sound like a broken record, but friends we are living on borrow time.
Again,
14 Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.
We are living on borrowed time.
It’s time to stop Procrastinating!
Do you realize we are living in the last days of the Bible.
Look what’s going on in the world, this country, this state!
People all around this world, are dying without knowing the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal savior
Either not being told about the savior, or
Just plain out rejecting Him.
In either case they are dying and going to hell.
I’m going to play you a music clip, I want to to listen, as it deals with what happens when a unsaved person Procrastinates.

I have conducted several funeral services since I returned to the ministry.
One day there will be a pastor speaking words like this over your casket:
“Today we are here to remember the life of (insert your name) He/she was loved by many and will be missed by all.”
Funerals are the one thing pastor’s hate about their jobs.
If the person who died is saved the pastor, can comfort and reassure the family; where their loved one is, because, the pastor knows, where their love one will spend eternity.
The Bible tells us, If we are a Christian absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord.
8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.
This means as soon as you die, if you are born again, you immediately will be in the presents of the Lord in heaven.
If the person who died is not saved, the pastor, cannot comfort or reassure, the family; where their loved one is, because, the pastor knows, there love one is burning in hell.
If you die, and do not know Jesus Christ as your personal savior, you immediately go to hell.
20 And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores,
21 And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.
22 And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;
23 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.
You say, “pastor you shouldn’t say things like that.” Well the truth hurts, My King James 1611 Bible says, it and I’m going to preach it.
You say, “pastor you shouldn’t scare people like that.” I would much rather scare you about eternity now, and you accept the Lord Jesus Christ as your savior, then do nothing and you end up burning in hell; because I failed to do so.
Your blood will not be on my hands for not Preaching the truth about Jesus Christ, not Preaching His Gospel, The Death, Burial, and The Resurrection !

There are one of two ways your going to leave this world, if your saved.
By death,
Or being in the Rapture, when we are caught up together to meet the Savior in the clouds.
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
1 After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.
2 And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.
We don’t know when we are going to die.
We do know that the Bible tells us that we all have an appointment with death.
27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
We don’t know when the Lord Jesus Christ is coming back to Rapture His Church
36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
The bible tells us, that Jesus will come in a blink of and eye and as a thief in the night,
52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
1 But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.
2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.
3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.
V. We Have To Stop Procrastinating.
If you are Truly a Born Again Christian, Let me ask you a question,
Are you witness for the Lord?
Are you telling others about Jesus Christ?
Are you inviting others to church?
Are you doing all you can to help get people saved?
I have showed, you in the Bible,many times about the Two of Judgments that deal with the Saved and Unsaved.
Judgment Seat of Christ;
This Judgment is for the Christian, it’s a Bema, an Award Ceremony of sort.
10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
ii. Your not being judged for your sins,
iii. You ask, “why am I not being judged for my sin?”
iv. Because when you accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, and asked him to forgive you of your sins and repented you were covered by his blood at that monment.
v. You are being judged for the work that you do here on the earth for the Glory of Jesus Christ, after you have been saved. (Your Not Saved By Works.)
vi. The only way a person can get saved is to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ
vii Jesus said Himself that He is the only way to God the Father.
6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Viii After you receive Jesus as your personal savior, you are judged for the works you do as a Christian. Good or Bad by fire.
12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;
13 Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is.
b. The Great White Throne Judgment.
First, this will be the only time every person who ever lived and died, will be in heaven at the same time.
This judgment is for the unsaved, but
The saved will be present as a spectator.
c. Let me tell you what your going to see at the Great White Throne Judgment!
You will see your unsaved family members there.
You will see your unsaved friends there.
You will see your unsaved coworkers there.
You will see unsaved acquaintances that you have met during your lifetime there.
They will be judged out of The Five Books;
The Book of Conscience
15 Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;)
2. The Book of Words
36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.
37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.
3. The Book of Secret Words and Works
16 In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.
14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
4. The Book of Public Works
15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.
27 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.
5. The Book of Life
3 And I intreat thee also, true yokefellow, help those women which laboured with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and with other my fellowlabourers, whose names are in the book of life.
12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life.
A. I don’t want see a, Born Again Christian, to go home today without understanding what will happen if they fail to witness to others,
People will go to hell,
I wished every Born Again Christian could go to hell for just a couple of minutes.
I guarantee they would come out with a different attitude towards witnessing and inviting others to church.
If you fail to witness to people you know, about Jesus Christ and they die in there sins without knowing Jesus Christ as there personal savior.
There blood will be on your hands at the Great White Throne Judgment
18 When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.
19 Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.
20 Again, When a righteous man doth turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumblingblock before him, he shall die: because thou hast not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he hath done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at thine hand.
21 Nevertheless if thou warn the righteous man, that the righteous sin not, and he doth not sin, he shall surely live, because he is warned; also thou hast delivered thy soul.
In other words, If you fail to tell others about Christ. Their blood is on your hand’s
If you become a stumbling block, and causes someone a person from Christ their blood is on your hand’s
If you do tell them and are not a stumbling block, and they reject Christ, then their blood will not be on your hand’s
Picture this, Your at the Great White Throne Judgment, as a spectator because you are saved. Jesus is setting on the throne and then a name is called, to stand before the Lord to be judged. It’s is a family member, a friend, a coworker, or just an acquaintance you know. You standing there watching there life being revealed. The Lord asked, does there name appears in the Book of Life, and it’s not. The Lord renders His verdict and says, “Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels.” As they are being carried off to be cast them into the Lake of Fire, You hear them screaming, crying, and looking at you saying, “Why didn’t you tell me about Jesus! Why didn’t you them about Jesus! You could have kept me from this fate.” You look down and there blood is on your hands.
My friends would you want that to happen?
Let me say this, If you are here today and you don’t know Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, stop procrastinating today.
What are you waiting for?
The right moment in time?
You don’t have much time!
Do you realize if your not saved when you die, you will spend an eternity in a literal burning hell.
Do you realize that if your not saved and Jesus comes to Rapture His church up,
you will go through the Seven Year Tribulation, and because you are here watching our Live-Stream Service,
And have heard the TRUE GOSPEL PREACHED,
and (I know you have because we only preach the True Gospel of Jesus Christ at Faith Bible Baptist Church.
You will never get another chance to get saved.
Those movies like Left Behind, and A Distant Thunder,
Are only half right,
People will get saved during the Tribulation,
But only does who never heard the True Gospel of Jesus Christ.
If you heard the True Gospel of Jesus Christ and you reject it.
It will be too late for you when He comes for His Church!

Please Make a Decision Today, before it’s too Late!
Do you truly know without a shadow of a doubt that you have accepted Jesus Christ, as your personal .
If not will you come today, Stop Procrastinating Today!
If you have been Saved, Rededicate your life to Him Today!
Be the Witness Jesus Christ deserves Today!
