And even those who still believe in the Devil, many think of him not as a person or being but rather as a force or a power.
Allow me to set the record straiught: You have an enemy, and he is an actual being. He is a person. He is not your mother in law, how do i know, because he is my mother in law. Jk.
He goes by many names: He is the Devil, Satan, Bilial, the dragon, the serpant, the prince of this world, the angel of the abyss, a liar, a thief, a murder.
And when you tyrusted in Jesus Christ, you declaired war on him, his followrrs and his kingdom.

The way i see him, now that i am a christian is that he is an opposer of all the is good and holy.
Look at His opposition to God’s people.

He opposes God’s righteousness

He is real, his hatred is real and his threat is real.
But in the Words of Billy Graham: I have read the end of the bible: God wins.
And the Lord said unto Satan, The Lord rebuke thee, O Satan; Even the Lord that hath chosen Jerusalem rebuke thee: Is not this a brand plucked out of the fire?

The Blessing in the Devil
No its not what it sounds like, there is no blessing in the devil, Satan is a murder and the father of lies.
What i am referring to is this: The Devils existence makes this crazy world make absolute sense. And his existence and activity explains away a great deal of what would have other cause cause me perplexity.
Let me tell you 2 ways in which the existence of the Devil blesses me.
1: I know that God is all good and is not the source of evil and misery. All of the evil, pain, misery and suffering in this world is not at God’s hand. It is through the destructive work of Satan.
To believe in God, but not the Devil results in Paganistic Yin Yang beliefs.

This belief that there is a little bad in the good and a little good in the bad, and so God is good, but also a little bad - rubbish.
O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good;
For his mercy endureth for ever.
2: The second blessing the Devils existence does it to just in the knowledge that i have an enemy who is actively attacking me.
How is this good? Well it means that its more than likely that as a christian, any pain, sorrow, persecution, heartache, misery i feel are not the result of my “badness” or “Karma” but the result of my enemy seeking to bring me down.
Karma is a horrible belief that many christian are guilty for believing. Karma says that doing good, results in you receiving good, and doing bad, results in you receiving bad. This makes many christians very confused when bad things happen to them.
Why do bad things happen to good people? is a question that has Karma as its worldview: Why shouldn't bad things happen to good people, especially if those good people are christians? the bad that happens its not cosmic balances being set straight it is the work of the lion and thief.

Satan is a defeated foe, he is defeated but still temporarily present. He was defested by the Lord Jesus Christ.
Satan is strong - Jesus is Stronger.
Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.
Jesus came to destroy Satan work
He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
And that work continues till this day. Through the Believers faith in Jesus Christ.
And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
This is not an automic casting down - its a casting down by faith and fortitude.
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
Active submission to God Word and active resistance to Satans Temptation.
He is activly persuing your soul every day.
And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat:
Satan has but one desire: You have you. Will you let him have you?

Well lets do just that:
