INTRODUCTION:    Have you ever noticed how people prefer fiction over truth?  --  USA Best Seller List

PROPOSITION:        Embrace Truth

TRANSITION:           Do I need to die before I can gain understanding or find resolution?

OUTLINE:

A.     Where do I go to get understanding?  (Sam {The Main Character} sought understanding in two areas!)

1.      Did my life have value?  (Ultimately, this is asking…Do or did I have value?)

·         Let’s look at some Scripture

2.      Did my life have a purpose?  (Ultimately, this is asking…Does my life have a Purpose?)

·         Let’s look at some Scripture.

·         There is a real irony in the best seller list.  #2  is on the same list with #’s 6 & 13

3.      Ultimately, we should have two responses to the quest for Understanding.

·         Our First Response should be for when we are seeking Understanding – We need to go to God and His Word!

·         Our Second Response should be for those who are seeking Understanding – We need to prepare our answers

and be ready to point them to God and His Word.

1 Peter 3:15 – Are we going to embrace & encourage others to embrace    TRUTH or FICTION?

B.     How / Where Do I Find Resolution for Life’s Issues?

1.      How & Where do I resolve Hurts, Disappointments, Losses and Forgiveness Issues (Both Giving & Receiving)?

·         Let’s look at some Scripture.

·         God has revealed Himself through Jesus & His word so that we can find resolution to life’s issues today.

2.      Ultimately, we should have two responses when we Face Life’s Issues.

·         Our First Response should be for when we are seeking Resolution – We need to go to God and His Word!

·         Our Second Response should be for those who are seeking Resolution – We need to prepare our answers

and be ready to point them to God and His Word.

CONCLUSION:
