As we journey for a moment today through the “manifold wisdom of God” lay bear for us in this fantastic book we will see...

With this in mind let’s get into our lesson this evening.

The Glorious Salvation Of The Church

Jesus is the head of the church.

From the beginning this was foreknown.

The Salvation Of The Church

How glorious is the church if it has such a leader as Jesus the only begotten Son of God!!!

Summery

In the book of Ephesians Paul demonstrates the glorious salvation of the church found in the head of the church, Jesus the Christ.
Jesus, the free gift of grace, is the reason the church is gloriously saved.

The church receives every spiritual gift of God.

This means the church receives...
A God that has cared about the church since before the “foundation of the world.”

In this great book Paul clearly shows the glorious church of Christ’s spiritual nature and the blessings that spring forth from it.
As Paul would finish up in verse 14 “to the praise of His glory.”

The Glorious Unity Of The Church

There’s been a long standing separation between Jew & Gentile.

The Jews became “God’s chosen people.”

2 For you are a people holy to the Lord your God, and the Lord has chosen you to be a people for his treasured possession, out of all the peoples who are on the face of the earth.
The Gentiles, though not forgotten (Jonah), became a people who had left their Creator for the most part.

In this great epistle Paul lays out the glorious unity found in the church of Christ.
The church was never intended to be divided nor allowed ().

The Glorious Strength Of The Church

God has always intended for the church to be strong.

God desires for the the church to be steadfast and immovable against the evil of this world.
1 Corinthians 15:58 ESV
58 Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.

This strength comes from the Spirit.

God the Spirit will help each member of the church to grow strong making the collective the strongest it can be.

The great letter demonstrates the glorious strength of the church of Christ.
This forces, in turn, makes the collective all the more strong.

Conclusion

The church “God’s eternal purpose” has been made known to us through His “manifold wisdom” by His apostle Paul ().
It’s salvation, spiritual nature, unity, and strength are its backbone and light to the world that has no salvation, a longing spiritual nature, a misguided understanding of unity, and weak beyond belief.
