Matthew 14:22–33 NKJV
Immediately Jesus made His disciples get into the boat and go before Him to the other side, while He sent the multitudes away. And when He had sent the multitudes away, He went up on the mountain by Himself to pray. Now when evening came, He was alone there. But the boat was now in the middle of the sea, tossed by the waves, for the wind was contrary. Now in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went to them, walking on the sea. And when the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, “It is a ghost!” And they cried out for fear. But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Be of good cheer! It is I; do not be afraid.” And Peter answered Him and said, “Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.” So He said, “Come.” And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus. But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, “Lord, save me!” And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him, and said to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?” And when they got into the boat, the wind ceased. Then those who were in the boat came and worshiped Him, saying, “Truly You are the Son of God.”

He Just did a huge miracle in feeding more than 5000 people. I have never had the privileged of preforming a miracle, but I preach a lot and i know after I preach i’m tired afterwords.
So, Jesus went to a mountain to pray by himself. Jesus Prayed till the Night.
Matthew 14:24 NKJV
But the boat was now in the middle of the sea, tossed by the waves, for the wind was contrary.

Sometimes life gets hard:

some times our friends hurt our feelings.
sometimes we don’t get picked for the team.
sometimes we get in trouble and embarrassed.
Matthew 14:25–26 NKJV
Now in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went to them, walking on the sea. And when the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, “It is a ghost!” And they cried out for fear.

Sometimes we get scared:

14:25 in the fourth watch Romans divided the 12-hour span between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. into four watches of three hours each. The fourth watch (mentioned here in the Greek text of Matthew) was 3–6 a.m.
this was a bad storm in the middle of the. all of the disciples where Grown ups except for one.
sometimes we get scared by things: (all of us get scared).
sometimes we are scared of the dark.
sometimes are parents fight and we get scared.
sometimes we get bullied by someone and we are scared.
(NKJV)
27 But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Be of good cheer! It is I; do not be afraid.”
27 But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Be of good cheer! It is I; do not be afraid.”
27 But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Be of good cheer! It is I; do not be afraid.”

Even in the middle of the Fear… Jesus is there and he cares about you :)

Jesus cares about you. even when you are afraid jesus cares for you.
He cares about what you care about.
Matthew 14:28–30 NKJV
And Peter answered Him and said, “Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.” So He said, “Come.” And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus. But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, “Lord, save me!”

Peter knew that he could go where Jesus is… and so can we.

life is hard sometimes, sometimes we like to get in trouble..... its hard to be good all the time. the older you get the more you will be influenced to do what other people ask you to do.
but you don’t have to do bad things.
Jesus has very important things for you to do.
Peter was a fisherman. he would Have known this sea. he would have known a bad storm from a good storm.
Peter goes from extremely scared to wanted to walk on water (that might a good thing for a fisherman).
so, peter gets out of the boat and it doesn't turn out the way he thinks it will.
sometimes we fail.... Just because we fail doesn't mean we shouldn’t try.
does anyone know how many disciples there where?
Good! how many disciples got out of the boat?
one, Right!
it may have not turned out the way he thought it would. but he is also the only disciples to know that even when you try and fail, Jesus is still their.
Matthew 14:31–33 NKJV
And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him, and said to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?” And when they got into the boat, the wind ceased. Then those who were in the boat came and worshiped Him, saying, “Truly You are the Son of God.”
Jesus pulled peter back into safety and the storm faded.
there will be scary moments.
Jesus will be there in the scary moments.
