Matthew 13:24–28 KJV 1900
Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field: But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also. So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares? He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?

Stay Woke

Romans 12:2 KJV 1900
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
We don’t change our life by changing our life. We change our life by changing our mind.
“Come up hither”
1 Corinthians 3:1–3 KJV 1900
And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ. I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able. For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?
Ready for Renewal
Open Mind
Can’t walk through an open door with a closed mind.
Retrain our minds
Law of Substitution
Brian Tracy, in his book Maximum Achievement, explains the Law of Substitution this way:
“It states that your conscious mind can hold only one thought at a time, and that you can substitute one thought for another. The ‘crowding out’ principle allows you to deliberately replace a negative thought with a positive thought.”
Fight a lie with the truth
Embrace what God wants to teach you with an open mind
2. Honest Mind
Acknowledge where you are
3. Humble Mind
God can’t teach you anything if you already know everything
Exposure will create an appetite for more.
Teach us how to pray
We stop moving when we stop learning
God won’t elevate who he can’t educate
Seed & Soil
Seed represents the Word of God
Soil represents the heart
Heart refers to the mind, will, imagination, emotions
Proverbs 4:23 KJV 1900
Keep thy heart with all diligence; For out of it are the issues of life.
Be careful what you let captivate your imagination
Worry is the result of imagining the wrong thing
Joshua 1:8 KJV 1900
This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
Philippians 4:8 KJV 1900
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
Peace of God
Philippians 4:7 KJV 1900
And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Peace come with what you think about
Matthew 13:24 KJV 1900
Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field:
Good seed produced wheat
Negative seed produced weeds
John 8:44 KJV 1900
Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
He wants you to believe God is one
The weeds are there to choke out the wheat of truth
Genesis 3:1–6 KJV 1900
Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.
In order for the enemy to destroy your life, he has to get you to believe something that’s not true.
We must Stay Woke!
Ephesians 4:27 KJV 1900
Neither give place to the devil.
Don’t give him room enough to get his foot in the door.
The first step in getting out of a hole is to stop digging.

Three areas to Stay Woke

My Influences
Just because they have a good heart doesn’t mean they have a right one.
Good people can give you bad fruit.
Stay woke > Is this good seed?
That determines who you talk to
How long you talk to them
When you talk to them

2. Injuries

When you’re injured, you’re open.
When you are injured, you are vulnerable.
It’s easier to believe lies when you are hurt.
When I’m hurt, I have to stay woke.

3. Education

Romans 1:21–22 KJV 1900
Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
Romans 1:21 KJV 1900
Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
Pursue learning that impacts our life.
Pursue learning that impacts our life.
Sowing unproven principles
We must test it against God’s Word
There are some places God wants you at that’s not for you, it’s for someone else.
Acts 16:25–30 KJV 1900
And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them. And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one’s bands were loosed. And the keeper of the prison awaking out of his sleep, and seeing the prison doors open, he drew out his sword, and would have killed himself, supposing that the prisoners had been fled. But Paul cried with a loud voice, saying, Do thyself no harm: for we are all here. Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas, And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?
Some people can’t get themselves out. God will put you there to get them out.
Don’t let what people has done to you stop you from doing what God has called you to do.
He’s trying to change your mind.
Ezekiel 37:1–10 KJV 1900
The hand of the Lord was upon me, and carried me out in the spirit of the Lord, and set me down in the midst of the valley which was full of bones, And caused me to pass by them round about: and, behold, there were very many in the open valley; and, lo, they were very dry. And he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord God, thou knowest. Again he said unto me, Prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of the Lord. Thus saith the Lord God unto these bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live: And I will lay sinews upon you, and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and ye shall live; and ye shall know that I am the Lord. So I prophesied as I was commanded: and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold a shaking, and the bones came together, bone to his bone. And when I beheld, lo, the sinews and the flesh came up upon them, and the skin covered them above: but there was no breath in them. Then said he unto me, Prophesy unto the wind, prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, Thus saith the Lord God; Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live. So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army.
What is dead can live
Prophecy over what is dead
I spoke as I was commanded
