Big Idea
Jesus is the substance of our faith and those whom are given by God to Christ will come to know Christ and will absolutely experience the power of a resurrected life now and when Christ returns.
Not Everyone will Get It
The crowds were looking for natural benefits not true spiritual enlightenment
Believing that Jesus is enough
As the Bread of Life, Christ is all that we need to sustain us
The Jews believed that the Messiah would restore to Israel the bread from heaven “manna”.
Manna facts
Was Sweet, like honey “The word is sweeter than honey to the honey comb
Manna “what is it” was more than enough for daily substance “Give us this day our daily bread”
Jesus is communicating that he is that fulfillment
As the Bread of Life, Christ is all that we need to sustain us
We should understand that Christ the reveled word is enough to keep us and guard us spiritually each day. We should get our daily bread/manna

They were blinded by the fleshly feel good of the moment, so they couldn’t see the or even accept the greater spiritual truth

First Question how do we do the works of God
Answer “ The Work of God is- Jesus responds there is only one work of God is that you Believe
This is the work of God, that you believe on him

The phrase “come to me” is a synonym for come and believe or who believe
Those that come because they were given will never be rejected or put out. You have to be in the group in order to be put out the group?
People will argue well you can walk away,
Jesus came to do the father’s will, what was the father will?
That everyone (the all that were given) who looks on the son and believes in him should have eternal life, and I “emphatic” will raise him up on the last day. Notice how the wording moves from plural group language to individual language showing that the group is made up of individuals and that it is the individuals who make up the group of all.
