The challenge of today: Identifying your role in God’s mission to reach the World for Christ.
Every Christian has been called to engage in God’s mission.
Notice in the attitude of those gathered an expectation that they were to DO something.
They were spurred to action because they knew who Jesus was.
The Call of God in is the call to AND.
It would be real easy to look at this verse and find our individual comfort zone but each of us are called to the AND of missions.
Jerusalem AND Judea AND Samaria AND the remotest part of the earth.
To accomplish God’s mission, all of us have a role to play.

You may say, “I don’t have much” but Jesus commended even the smallest gift that was given from a heart of sacrifice
And He looked up and saw the rich putting their gifts into the treasury.
And He saw a poor widow putting in two small copper coins.
And He said, “Truly I say to you, this poor widow put in more than all of them;
for they all out of their surplus put into the offering; but she out of her poverty put in all that she had to live on.”

There are undoubtably those here today for whom any gift is sacrificial, let me assure you that those are the gifts that make the biggest difference.
Ministry takes money in this world, it always has.

I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,
Jesus was going through all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every kind of disease and every kind of sickness.
Seeing the people, He felt compassion for them, because they were distressed and dispirited like sheep without a shepherd.
Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.
“Therefore beseech the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest.”
Never under estimate the importance of prayer to the mission.

It is easy to see missions as something someone else should do, but we are all called to the mission.
We must see the reality of the need and respond.
“Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it.
“For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.

for “Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher?
How will they preach unless they are sent? Just as it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news of good things!”
However, they did not all heed the good news; for Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed our report?”
So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.

“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,
teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

Everyone can Go to someone with the truth of the Gospel
Some can travel to the ends of the earth to do so

There are opportunities to be involved in missions for most anyone who is willing to go.
