There's a really wonderful thing that happens when we read scripture.
We find encouragement and direction.
We find correction and strength.
But there's something else that happens.
I started call it the coin effect.
Because every coin has two sides.
And even when we are reading Scripture about other people and their relationship with God, we can flip that coin and see our relationship with God.
It helps us to see how others relationship Jehovah works.
Reading the Bible gives us a better understanding of what's needed and expected in this relationship.
Now whether your heads or tails on the coin I don't know.
And it may depend on the day on how you feel.
What I so know is that when we read about Israel, we can read about ourselves as well.
Their sins and struggles and shame are sins and struggles and shame that we deal with .
So in a lot of ways Israel is us.
Israel at times does not follow God's plan and we have not followed His plan either.
You and I have sinned against our great and holy God, Iso had Israel.
Sometimes when I read about Israel and their need of Grace I realize the flip side of the coin is we need His Grace too.
God Restores His Word
When Israel broke their bond and their relationship with God?
It broke Moses's heart and enraged him.
Remember as Moses came near to the camp and saw the calf and the people dancing, his anger flared.
He threw down the tablets and smashed them to pieces at the foot of the mountain.
But God's not giving up on His people and He's willing to restore His word they may know of His care and His love for them and how to live and have a proper relationship with Him.
Real love doesn't give up

But there's something here that we're going to pray about this morning.
We're going to pray that just like Moses had been promised, and now Joshua been promised it now God will also make it so no one can stand before you.
Our prayer is that in the same way Jehovah was with Moses, Hell be with you.
God won’t give up on you; Jesus won’t leave you.
In these verses hear God is promising to give a portion to is people.
AA territory.
Area.
Now it may be God's plan for you to have some land.
But there might be a new Venture for you as there is a new school year on the horizon.
And if even if you're not in school you might be still plugging away in the school of life and there's a new area that God wants to give you.
Of spiritual territory you might say.
And what we're talking about is there maybe a certain place that God wants to see you Excel and he's prepared a way for you but we have to be faithful to follow.
Sometimes in life it can be scary.
Sometimes we are in love with someone and we feel we should take the next step but we are afraid to ask them out.
Or maybe you're afraid to ask someone to marry you.
In that regards this is the same kind of thing we're talking about.
Maybe you are to ask your boss for a raise.
Maybe you were to ask for a new position at work.
But you have been hesitant because you're fearful that maybe you were not going to get that promotion.
Maybe you won't get that job.
Maybe your boss will say no to the raise.
But if there is something God has put on your heart and he has been preparing those steps for you, we have to be faithful to go through on it.
There are certain things that God is decreed in life that will come true.
If there are things that God is purpose in your life so you'll be in that place to love people, to receive the benefits of being faithful, and to minister to others, this morning we want to pray that you would not only be faithful.
But you would quickly follow that plan.
Often we hear about ministers who have been called by God to preach the word but they refused to go.
And we hear how they suffer.
We hear how the more they run from God the more miserable they are.
I remember one brother and Christ by the name of David he was very successful in business he owns his own business he told of the the great economic Bounty of his work, but he was completely miserable the whole time.
Until he finally surrendered his life to Christ and that's when he found such great freedom and living out the faith that God always called him to!
Israel at times does not follow God's plan and we have not followed His plan either.

Real love doesn't give up
Some of us have found people in life that when things break down they don't stick with us.
Sometimes they just flat abandon you when life gets turbulent.
They disappear on you when life happens.
Some emotionally checked out.
Others mentally zone you out.
They put physical distance between you and them.
Some completely divorced themselves from you in their heart.
And on paper.
What you find is some of these people never really loved you.
It was all about what they can get from you.
Their care or love for you was based off of performance.
And when you did not jump through hoops or do good enough.
They nixed you.
But God's not that way.
We've never been able to offer God anything.
Never been able to live up to any kind of bargain.
And yet scripture says that God chose to love us and make His own.
That's the Lord’s relationships with us.
That's why He's restoring His word with Israel.
To restore that broken relationships so they may be right with Him again.
In Jeremiah we read -
God’s word is so powerful that it can destroy the lies of Satan.
It can incinerate what is holding you back in life.
God’s word is a well spring of hope and an endless supply of strength.
Anything someone has said to you, done to you, even held against you- God’s word is more powerful.
Yahweh can break down whatever wall we have built up in our lives betweens him and us.
