Preparing the Way

We don’t start anything,
God is always at work - we just join Him

Obstacles we Make
Distractions - vs 9 - hungry - focus diverted
Traditions - clean and unclean
“We never done it that way”

God removes the obstacle

Again, a second time, a voice said to him, “What God has made clean, you must not call common.” This happened three times, and then the object was taken up into heaven.

Door had been opened for Gospel to Gentiles

Opening the Door
We ask who, what , when
God has the answer - we just have be aware and ready
1 Peter 3:15 HCSB
but honor the Messiah as Lord in your hearts. Always be ready to give a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you.
Obedience = Movement
Peter had to go
Acknowledged the past, the discomfort
God had made a way
Outcome is up to God
God has a plan - invites us to join Him
God’s heart that all should hear - we don’t pick and chose

While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit came down on all those who heard the message. The circumcised believers who had come with Peter were astounded because the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out on the Gentiles also.
Outcome is up to God
In the end, it is for God’s glory
