Introduction
We hear a lot of talk these days about Supreme Courts Justices. (SCJ). Justice Kennedy is retiring. What are the qualifications for a justice? What is the role of a US SCJ? Lots of debate! We have 9 SCJ(s) who hands down rulings often with very narrow 5 -4 margins. Only God knows, exactly what percentage of the population are justly satisfied living under their rulings. It seems our nation, and world is deeply divided and scattered on many issues.

In our first reading, God speaks through Jeremiah addressing this problem in Israel. He is using shepherd and sheep as a figure of speech but is really addressing all the rulers of the nation, charging them with misleading and scattering his people. God then promises to raise a righteous ruler who will govern wisely gathering back his people. God says that ruler will be called The LORD our justice”. In our Gospel, is a fulfillment of this prophesy in Jesus Christ. The crowd already gathered and waiting for him to get off the boat. When Jesus sees the vast crowd, his heart moved with pity for them, for they were like sheep without a shepherd; and he began to teach them many things. At the end of that day he fed that crowd of 5 thousand. Allow me to introduce “The LORD our justice “Jesus + to anyone here who does not know him personally.

His Qualification? Complete knowledge of all human behavior, good and bad. Irrefutable wisdom of interpreting, teaching and living God’s Word written as intended. His Role as a Justice? To exchange our bad for his good for the asking+. To be the guest of honor making sure everyone celebrating at his banquet is fed and nourished
Yes! This lowly justice + to the world a contradiction, will come again in God’s Glory to judge the living and the dead. Every king, queen, president, prime minster, SCJ, every knee will bend, and every tongue confess he is Lord. “Our Justice Jesus”!
Which of us has never been misled in life? do you feel scattered and all over the place in thought and actions, don’t know what to think and what to believe anymore, who to hang out with? Come to the Justice+. Apostle Paul called him “our Peace”, the Psalmist, “The Lord is My Shepherded there is nothing I shall want”. Come, hang out with his crowd, because this Justice will always hear all your petitions, tell you the truth, exchange your bad for his good, and feed you at his banquet. If you hear him today, come gather with “The LORD our Justice “Jesus. +
