I told you not to fear
BUT you did not listen
It was not Gods fault you are in this predicament
They had a sin issue that was worse than the the oppression of the Mideanites

Charles Spurgeon said, “The Lord does not permit His children to sin successfully.” God is not a “permissive parent” who allows His children to do as they please, for His ultimate purpose is that they might be “conformed to the image of His Son”

If you are a child of the King, and God is oppressing you with the Mideanites, its because he loves you and wants his best for you
