How do we receive guidance?

The Holy Spirit

How can the Holy Spirit give guidance?

Body – Part contact external world

You see my Body

This not the real me

Soul – Real me

Part thinks, feels, chooses

I express myself through my body

I think a thought

I then speak with mouth

You hear with your ears

You receive what spoken

You interpret message

Spirit – Part contact with God

God said man would die if disobeyed Him

Spirit of man died

Lost capacity for fellowship

No longer spiritual sense

Jesus Christ came to give us life

When take as Lord receive His Life

Holy Spirit moves into our life

He quickens our spirit

He able to guide us

We to the place where we hear God

Parallel a new baby – new Christian

Baby hears sounds

Cannot interpret sounds

Must learn how

Christian not recognize God

Three Secrets to Hearing God Speak

The one who chooses to listen to God with the intent of obeying, will have the privilege of hearing God speak.

“He who hath ears to hear, let him hear!”

What is meant by hearning?

To listen

To listen with intent to obey

You can choose whom or what you listen to
