Salvation brings assurance. § John 6:37-40

37 “All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will certainly not cast out.

38 “For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me.

39 “This is the will of Him who sent Me, that of all that He has given Me I lose nothing, but raise it up on the last day.

40 “For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who beholds the Son and believes in Him will have eternal life, and I Myself will raise him up on the last day.”

Salvation brings joy. § Matthew 18:13; § John 1:45

13 “If it turns out that he finds it, truly I say to you, he rejoices over it more than over the ninety-nine which have not gone astray.

Salvation brings seasons of refreshing. § Acts 3:19

19 “Therefore repent and return, so that your sins may be wiped away, in order that _times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord;

Salvation causes heavenly beings to stand in stark amazement. § Ephes. 3:10-12

10 so that the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known through the church to the rulers and the authorities in the heavenly places.

11 This was in accordance with the eternal purpose which He carried out in Christ Jesus our Lord,

12 in whom we have boldness and a confident access through faith in Him.

Salvation changes masters, not just behavior. § Romans 6:17-18

17 But thanks be to God that though you were slaves of sin, you became obedient from the heart to that _form of teaching to which you were committed,

18 and having been freed from sin, you became slaves of righteousness.

Salvation gives one a position of authority. § Luke 15:22-24

22 “But the father said to his slaves, ‘Quickly bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet;

23 and bring the fattened calf, kill it, and let us eat and celebrate;

24 for this son of mine was dead and has come to life again; he was lost and has been found.’ And they began to celebrate

Salvation gives one an abundant life. § John 10:10

10 “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.

Salvation gives the privilege of being chosen and appointed by God Himself. § 1 Thes. 5:9; § 2 Thes. 2:13

9 For God has not destined us for wrath, but for obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,

2 These. 2:13 But we should always give thanks to God for you, brethren beloved by the Lord, because God has chosen you from the beginning for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and faith in the truth.

Salvation makes one whole. Meaning. § Acts 4:8-10

8 Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, “Rulers and elders of the people,

9 if we are on trial today for a benefit done to a sick man, as to how this man has been made well,

10 let it be known to all of you and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead by this name this man stands here before you in good health.

Salvation opens one’s eyes. § John 9:1-7

1 As He passed by, He saw a man blind from birth.

2 And His disciples asked Him, “Rabbi, who sinned, his man or his parents, that he would be born blind?”

3 Jesus answered, “It was neither that this man sinned, nor his parents; but it was so that the works of God might be displayed in him.

4 “We must work the works of Him who sent Me as long as it is day; night is coming when no one can work.

5 “While I am in the world, I am the Light of the world.”

6 When He had said this, He spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and applied the clay to his eyes,

7 and said to him, “Go, wash in the pool of Siloam” (which is translated, Sent). So he went away and washed, and came back seeing.

8 Therefore the neighbors, and those who previously saw him as a beggar, were saying, “Is not this the one who used to sit and beg?”

9 Others were saying, “This is he,” still others were saying, “No, but he is like him.” He kept saying, “I am the one.”

Salvation saves and hides a multitude of sins. § James 5:19-20

19 My brethren, if any among you strays from the truth and one turns him back,

20 let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save his soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins.

Salvation saves one to the uttermost. § Hebrews 7:25

25 Therefore He is able also to save forever those who draw near to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.
