First issue God has is: the priest won’t listen & won’t give honor to God’s name, So God says he will curse the blessing that they give, God states in verse 3 he is going to punish the priest descendants and cause them to have manure splattered on their faces from festival sacrifice.

And then he would throw them out with the Manure pile.

God then explains in verse 5 he has made a promise to Levi of Life and Peace, so that Levi would respect God, And That Levi respected God and stood in awe of his name.

And the Teaching form his mouth was true.

Nothing unjust was found on his lips.

He lived in Peace and honesty and turned many people away from sin.

Malachi then states may God exclude anyone who does this.. whoever they may be..

You moan and groan because he no longer pays attention to your offerings or accepts them from you.

Why don’t he except our offerings?

It is because the LORD is a witness between you and the wife of your youth, to whom you have been unfaithful.

Yet, she is your companion, the wife of your marriage vows.

The One that you should have forsaken all others for.

So be careful not to be unfaithful to the wife of your youth.
